Riot, this is essentially your logic. Riot: "Hmm, let's lessen queue time by a few minutes to make players more happy, by using an autofill system." Us: Has to now play a 20-50 minute game with a high chance of you or a teammate who was autofilled, and most likely unhappy, and most likely, not too good at that role (mostly support). Fuckin hell. Is it that hard for you guys to understand we are getting fucked in ranked because of this shit?
VeterenMantis4 votesHonestly, This was destined to fail, It was a half baked idea that never should have made it into the game. When you force some one into a role they are not comfortable with, They have a HIGH chance of doing poorly.
I for one, would rather spend 15 minutes in a queue then have myself, (Or some random person I don't know) get forced into a role they don't like, or even hate, they do poorly, their team gets mad because, Its a competitive game.
ljt1172 votesGood luck to all mid mains, most of you will be fked into all different kinds of positions with a "forced shorter time queue" I don't know what a secondary role means to other guys, but it means not main position, but will be fine to play 1 or 2 out of 5 games. When you got 4 out of 5 games as your secondary role, and probably 1 autofill, idk how a shorter queue time means anything. Just ask players would they prefer a 1min 30 queue time to get an guaranted not primary role or a 5-6 min queue time with primary role. The answer will tell the story. Maybe top elos are forced to do this because they have so few players. But do silver players and gold players need this? I already feel the frustration is being worse, including myself. I hope it won't arrive to the point every autofill players decide to troll other 4 players LP and never dodge. Then the dodge rate which riot value so much will be completely useless stat.

Average Gerg1 votesI play mid/top. I have 13 games in season 7. Ten were mid, one was top, and two were support. Mid/Top is the way to go if you want Mid. And when I get auto-filled support I'm okay with playing support. But FUCKING ALL HELL when an ADC main gets support that shit is cancer. Ya got a

LankPants1 votesThere's a case for autofill in the extremes. If you literally can't find a match because there's so few players autofill is probably better than 30 minute to 1 hour queue times. That however is a rare case and Riot can tell when a queue is likely to be excessive, so they could easily activate auto queue only when the queue time is likely to be too long as they have in the past.
When you're playing at an average ranking however there's no reason for it. I think the vast majority would be willing to double their (5-10 minute) queue times for a decent match without any autofill.
