Does anyone remember when we built gold per 10 runes as a support?

I remember those days, my late game build was: item 1001 , HOG, item 2043 x10, item 3649 x50, item 2047 x5

I still do -- when playing a "safe" support like Janna or Nami. Armor runes if playing an "all in" support (Leona) or defensive support (Braum).

When the meta became snowbally and 2 kills in the beginning got you a lot more gold faster than gold gen runes. Basically, because the meta became one of short games, a lot of bot lane trades, and more damage, taking those combat stats became a lot better than investing in gold in the late game.

Support? You mean Bankplank. Gold seals and quints, gold masteries, gold gen items, 15 minute Triforce.
