Gangplank needs love

Gangplank

He feels awful to play. Unlike other top laners where you spike at one item, gangplank barely spikes at all. Even if hes ahead then he has very little impact unless he has three items

Three Q's early basically drains your entire mana pool, so you have to play like a bitch for most of the game. Which isnt fun

He only counters whatever isn't played, and hes decent against the meta because he's able to ignore half of them. He can't kill anyone without being extremely fed without e, auto, e, q, ult, auto, w (for sheen proc) then q again. While Jax Kled Darius Camille Renekton Riven Fiora Olaf have to basically run at your face and effortlessly kill you to secure a lead

He doesn't even counter tanks, the armor pen is laughable and he merely just gold siphons off of it.

He has plenty of matchups where he can do absolutely nothing but farm and send some ults bot lane to get some gold (ult damage is pretty garbage also)

If he's behind he's practically dead weight to his team. The only decent ult upgrade is fire at will. You're using your ult to cut off enemies anyway, so raise morale is used to ult defensively which barely does anything

GP needs no buffs, his E needs a rework into something less "blow your load"-ee. His entire kit is based around those barrels and theyre oppressive once he gets a trinity force.

Eh, if you are good with him he still feels like the manly pirate I love.

That is just not true... Trinity is such a huge Spike and your ability to almost two shot squishy Targets with Trinity + GB...I would consider that a spike.

Even if hes ahead then he has very little impact unless he has three items

If you are shit with barrels, yes, with few items it will be less rewarding because you will only get 1-2 Barrels on their squishys. Practice one Parts or use the easier three Parts to suprise the enemy.

Either know how to manage your manapool, because you know how much it costs, or start with Crystal, back when you get Sheen and when that isn't enough for ya, get Manaflow Band. I barely have any mana problems, usually just through mindless spamming of Q and taking bad trades so I am forced to use W.

Eh. You can shutdown almost everything in lane if you play it smart, if you are in your main elo or simply worse than your opponent, sure, a stronger champ will beat you. But GP isn't about mashing buttons in the enemy face till their dead, he is a champ that requires tactic.

He can't kill anyone without being extremely fed without e, auto, e, q, ult, auto, w (for sheen proc) then q again.

Oh boi. What you are describing is usually brawling with a semi tanky opponent, grab Trinity + Lethality or Trinity + IE and ER and look at the health bar of squishys vanishing. (around 1.3-1.5 crits if you are ahead)

While several champs have to basically run at your face and effortlessly kill you to secure a lead

Eh. You have the tools to avoid them and the abilites to kill them in lane. Both Jax and Fiora are super easy early game if you play clever, only bs champ I agree on is Riven, who is a perma ban for me.

Lol. Do you know how to use your passive early or midgame? The only time tanks are a problem for GP is late where he can't really AA them because he gets blown up. Either you learn how to reset your passive and trade with it, or you stop making such claims.

Yes and that is how he used to be, a gold/farm depending hypercarry. One of the worst early games, but a great (mid-)late. Also, if your opponent allows you to farm, you are pretty lucky.

If he's behind he's practically dead weight to his team.

True, if you play your early wrong you can get shutdown very hard. Like any other hypercarry, Kassadin and Twitch come to mind.

The only decent ult upgrade is fire at will.

If you can't hit it, sure, but a one Part + Ult with Deaths Daughter Upgrade usually oneshots a squishy.

You're using your ult to cut off enemies anyway, so raise morale is used to ult defensively which barely does anything

GP relies on decisions, especially on the right ones. Consider how much use you can get out of your Ult, need it to clear waves? To help in Teamfight? As an escape tool?

And before you tell me I have no clue about GP, I am a GP OTP, have over 800k Mastery Points and play him on several accounts since he got released.

I think they were testing a barrel damage buff which should be nice. That gives him better waveclear and stronger high moments when he lands his combo.

If he needs further buffs I think it should be to the slow duration on barrels, specifically in the late game. That would give him more powerful team-fighting later on with a big payoff for a barrel combo.
