Hello! For the past few seasons, I've been told while steadily climbing towards platinum. Last season, I peaked at my promos to play. This season, after an admittedly rough placement series, I placed Silver 3. I figured "cool, I'll climb myself to gold in no time". Wrong. I am like hard stuck in Silver 3. I cannot fucking figure out how to win these damn games...advice?
Oh Me So Ornny1 votesin my experience the beginning of ranked is tough cause its a mess and matchmaking is hard. You have alot of people from various higher divisions getting placed all over the place. its not like the mid/end of the season where rank has kinda stabilized, if that makes sense.
also, it could be meta shifts. if you play a single type of champ it could be to meta shifts making that class of champ worse/harder to win with
WolfChases1 votesIts silver not you. Season 8 is the forst season I got placed in Silver 3 and I had really bad time climbing to Silver 1 even tho I was mid Platinum in 2 seasons straight. Platinum 3 on this account and Platinum 4 on my alt. The biggest reason is matchmaking. In Silver 3 and 2 where I played over 30 games I hardly remember a single game where I didnt have a team mate dying less than 10 times. As a former mid Platinym player I am not good enough to carry 1-14-2 Twisted fate who got matched against Yasuo whos like 9-2-0 at 20 min mark. So yea, Silver elo is hard for a casual player but sooner or later you will get out of there. Gold isnt any better believe me.
