Let's talk about Guinsoo'd Rageblade and Wit's End

Hello fellow Summoners, today I want to talk about problems, the core identities, and suggestions for both Guinsoo's Rageblade and Wit's End. Riot was talking about Guinsoo's Rageblade being deleted, but I think that is a really bad idea. The item has potential. Let's get started!

Problems Let's talk about the items' problems first. Hinting out the problems will help us figure out what we can do to fix the item or make it better. Let's start.

Guinsoo's Rageblade:

  • Too cheap of an item. Stats end up being too low.
  • You have to attack for the Attack Speed.
  • Build Path is not as good as it can be.
  • Stat balance on the item is messed up.

Wit's End:

  • Messy as hell build path.
  • No worth while stats.

Core Identities Okay Core Identities are what the item is suppose to serve as a purpose of being there and using them.

Guinsoo's Rageblade: So the item is meant for people who auto attack a lot and need AP. Like Kayle. Though the items fails at this, due to the Attack Speed being in the passive.

Wit's End: This item is meant for autoattackers that have AP on hit, like Teemo and Kayle. This item is actually all right in the spot. However, it still needs some love in certain places. Possibly used for something entirely different.

Suggestion So you may be wondering "Why did Arcane Ezreal make one thread for both items?". That was exactly for this suggestion. I want to propose an idea to combine these 2 items into making a healthy and good brand new spanking item. Why I picked these 2 items and went over there problems and core identities is to show you how similar these items are actually at the moment. So let's hop to my idea.

Wit's End: Recipe: Dagger(450G) + 400G = 850G Total Stats:

  • 25% Attack Speed

Passive(Unique): 20 On-hit Magic Damage

Context: This creates an early game item that has decent on-hit damage it'll also be able to build into something newer, continue reading.

Guinsoo's Rageblade: Recipe: Long Sword(360G) + Amp Tome(435G) + 555G = 1350G Total Stats:

  • 20AD
  • 20AP

Passive (Unique - Power Gain): Gain +2AP after each auto or spell cast for a duration of 6seconds. Stacks up to 5times.

(NEW)Guinsoo's Coda: Recipe: Guinsoo's Rageblade (1350G) + Wit's End(850G) + 800G = 3000G Total Stats:

  • 25AD
  • 25AP
  • 40% Attack Speed

Passive (Unique - Power Gain): Gain +3AD, +5AP, and +6 On-hit Magic Damage for a duration of 6seconds. Stack up to 5 times.

Passive(Unique): Reduces target's MR down by 4 each auto on hit. Stacks up to 5 times.

Context: I feel like this will make the item more lively and bring something new by combining the 2 of them. Since they serve the same purpose.

Actually no, Wit's End was always meant to be an anti-mage sustained damage item, typically for bruisers/tanks/antimage champs. That's why it originally had a mana burn, and then the stacking magic resist.

I prefer Wit's End's MR steal. It's the whole reason I buy the item, to be honest. I need to do more damage to them, and I need them to do less damage to me. Bam, Wit's End.

Guinsoo's Rageblade is a pretty solid item--most gold efficient item in the game--and a large factor of that is the unique passive. That passive is a HUGE powerboost, and it ups one's dueling potential immensely. If you can proc the passive, heal up to max HP, and get into a fight, it is nearly incomparable to any other item in terms of sheer effective combat advantage (in a single item). That said, it does not always fit the situation, but when it does, it fulfills its job well.

Your items are probably technically balanced... but so incredibly boring
