Riot: suggestions on balancing both the game and the community
The balance in this game is at an extremely low point, and it's obvious to many of the players here (who are not Zed mains).
My suggestion would be to STOP making new champions immediately. Releasing champions creates a slew of issues from a balance standpoint. Assuming you guys are actually trying to fix the game, the first week or two of a champion release creates huge shifts in balance that makes it very hard to understand some of the issues going on (as half the games have Jhin, this leads to a disproportionate amount of wins from champions that counter him). Additionally, since Vel'Koz, there has not been a sufficiently balanced release, causing much of your resources to be expended into fixing the champion immediately (or in the case of illaoi, not at all).
Secondly, unnecessary reworks do the same thing, to a potentially worse extent. The juggernaut update is an obvious example I'm sure you heard of many times. As well as fiora (although she needed the rework, the people who reworked her did a horrible job). Poppy was very necessary, but is still an issue. The problem is you are focusing on very small aspects of the game that can be fixed in an easier and less time consuming way: disabling the problem champions until a suitable rework can be made. When would this rework be made? After the big problems have been addressed: lack of champion diversity (especially mid), obvious problems with player behavior, and of course the balance issues.
My final suggestion is to stop giving favor to your LCS BIG PLAYS CHAMPS (assassins, lee sin, yasuo, etc.) and giving every champ the same treatment. Stop allowing extremely obnoxious kits to be in play, let alone in the meta. It saps the fun out of the opponent and makes it a chore to even play the game.
I didn't spend much time on this post so there's a lot of stuff I missed. You might say I'm just salty, and you'd be right. I'm really, really salty. I've spent too much time and money into this game to already see it's slow decline. Until these problems are addressed, I'm quitting League. Cya lads.
