People in this community have the dumbest double standards ever. If any champion that had damage had the same winrate and pickrate that Janna had for over 4 years was getting buffed because they are weak compared to how they have been historically people would be off the walls posted. But because a champion designed not to do damage is having it happen then it is ok because people think that damage is the only way you can be OP.

Janna does not deserve buffs she is around a 50% winrate and decent playrate on every single stats site. She is the most healthy she has ever been yet Riot is going to buff her back to OP because she isn't as strong as she has been historically and the community is dumb enough to go along with it. Imagine if they said the same thing about Kassadin when he used to have a 99% banrate. Oh well Kassadin experiencing a time period where he is not as strong as he used to be so we decided to buff him back to a 99% banrate.

Wow, it's almost like the boards isn't a single hive mind, and you see different kinds of opinions from different people.

I'm talking about the average person on the boards not individuals. A majority of the boards find that only damage and offensive power it OP while defensive power is for the most part not viewed that way. I know there are people that agree with me and disagree with me, but I'm trying to get the people who are blind to defensive power to realize that it is there and that it should not be taken for granted.

Except Janna is extremely weak and straying from her original purpose right now. The ad granted from her e is useless since her shield is now only used reactively to mitigate damage(it deteriorates too fast to use it preemptively). IMO buffing her w poke in lane isn't the answer either, since it'll just make her have the same problem sona has- oppressive poke against players who don't understand the game, useless against players who do.

The only reason her winrate hovers around 50% is because Janna encourages players to play safer and not turbo int. She's a also a simpler champion than most, just like how Annie(who has hovered above a 50% winrate for ages).

But so many people who don't understand how to play around enchanters run in and die instantly without waiting/baiting out cool downs in fights then complain about it on the boards/Reddit. So her peel got nerfed and they buffed her poke in lane.

Besides, how is she OP? Winrates never will paint a true picture, if they did Annie would be considered super strong. Janna has 2 peeling spells, a weak shield, and a slow that is nigh useless after lane. What's broken about that? Alistar has 2 peeling spells for fights as well among other things in his kit.

She is not OP right now. She is the healthiest she has ever been. IMO she needs a rework if you want her to feel satisfying to play and also be balanced. Her kit is too good. She has to have awful numbers because her spells are extremely potent. Simplicity does not mean the champion should be good at all levels. If a champion is simple then they should stomp at low elo because those people can't figure out how to play against it and are not mechanical gifted so then simple champions should dominate, but as players get better those champions should fall off because the simple champions should have obvious weaknesses they can't hide from at higher levels of play. Janna truly doesn't see that larger fall off until you hit Challenger or Pro Play. That is a problem. Look at Garen as soon as he is seen as viable at higher levels of play people are pissed and instantly want nerfs because they can see the unhealthy nature of the kit. Janna is the same, but people don't recognize defensive and supportive power as much.

No it is not a joke because I'm discussing the community not Riot. And even besides that Janna is not Riots favorite for worlds. She really only received play at worlds because of the idiotic Ardent meta.
