Tweaking Manamune

Personal opinion, but building Manamune feels too unrewarding for ADCs early game in comparison to ADCs building IE or BT.

Now i get that Manamune is a scaling item not necessarily meant for ADCs or early game, but there's a limit to sacrifice. You already spend your early game building it out, but then the immediate reward is practically null. Taking the Jinx (or old Ashe) Manamune/Runaan's build for an example, there is no way that build can match up early to someone building IE and PD.

Mind y'all, i'm not proposing a buff per se. What i'm thinking of is reducing it's AD scaling per mana, and increase the base AD on it. It makes the item much more worth it for just about any champion trying to build it as they usually won't get any other mana item to scale that AD with.

Thoughts?

It is not meant to be rewarding ealry game, it is meant to be a strong late game item which allows skill spamming.

The problem with that is, if your increase the Base AD, you would have to adjust it's purchase value. And most AD's who would build this item, usually want to rush it. Because they can stack it faster once upgraded from tear.

Unlike tear and staff, Manamune also stacks with basic attack. So an AD does not have to constantly spell spam and stacks it faster.

Your examples are champions who have(or had) toggable abilities that consumed mana on attack. You can argue that building mana, or a mana based item, can increase how long they can use such abilities. But that does not make those abilities more effective. Ashe's frost shot had no scaling at all, It was only a utility. one of which was not even required every attack. And for JInx, Mana does nothing for you DPS or burst. Her Rockets simply did better with AD and crit chance.

Manamune is inevitably a Caster item. Spell slingers, who rely on their spells, (and intern mana) for their DPS.

Adc does not.mean ad caster. it is an item for the likes of jayce, evelynn, and other skill users.

They tried reworking the item a while ago for ad casters but the proposed changes did not suit the main champions who currently used the item and had really odd effects like attack speed (AD casters don't really care about attack speed). But there are other problems with the item like how AD champions don't build mana items so one of the passive is pretty wasteful. Another problem is that you buy this item to relieve mana issues but the active makes you burn through mana like no tomorrow which is just counter intuitive.
