The 300 HP Regen Doran's Shield after being hit effect on PBE right now...

...is obviously an accident. Laning against it for the first time was incredibly hard, but once everyone had it, i noticed that fights lasted much longer and were far more fun than they normally would be on Live. Killing someone takes a dedicated effort, CC is required most of the time to pull off a kill.

Of course, it completely pushed out of the game poke champions and like half the assassins, but i figure there's a lesson to be learned here.

Pros of this effect; -Mana management becomes far more important during fights because you have to calculate on the long run. -More chances for outplays on both ends. -Enjoyable, fun fights. -Less punishing mistakes that enable more risk-taking and a lot more action.

Cons; -Anyone who doesn't buy this in lane is toast. -Makes Grievous Wounds mandatory -Pushes out a lot of champions from viability

I'm gonna be perfectly honest guys, i haven't had this much fun in a game in a looooong while. Even if it's obvious this bug won't stay, i wish Riot would learn from this and find a way to make combat last a lot longer like we see on PBE right now. I encourage everyone to try it out.

that's basically what most veteran players ask for for a long time: Less damage, longer fights. Back in the days, lanesustain was much stronger with the flat hp/5 items and stronger pots, and overall damage was lower. Sure it wasn't as extreme as the 30hp/sec on PBE, but unless you were a bursty champ vs a squishy, killing need alot effort and continous preassure, cause you wouldn't 100-0 and sustain was high so if you gave you're oponent to much space they would regen back up relative quickly. And even in a burst vs squishy matchup, you'd need to land everything + some AAs and even the target could survive if it really was fullhealth in the early. At lvl 6 killpreasure became more real though, and obviously once one is a bit fed things change aswell.

I agree, it would be more fun if fights were a bit longer. Instead of regen, just giving everyone more health/armor/MR would do something similar.

Poke champions could still poke, but it would just take longer to get someone in the red. A bit more movement speed or range on poke champions might be in order so they can maintain their spacing for a longer period of time and get more damage off from range.

Assassins might be able to delete people in the mid game, but in the late game they would just chunk people, even when fed, making their falling off point more clear. Their ability to escape after going in would need to be buffed slightly to make up for their inability to assassinate enemies in the late game. Alternatively, an expensive assassin item that gave them execute damage would give assassins a late-game item to build so they can stay relevant, but a hefty gold cost would make it difficult to build unless you are ahead. If extra armor/MR was the solution instead of extra health, a simple buff to leathality items would do the trick.

cries in not being able to play on PBE

The irony is that somehow people still can't comprehend that lowering all damage across the board would be an improvement to the game.

Like, this bug is roughly that. Yet, people are so desperately clinging to their brainless burst damage and overloaded agency, that they can't imagine actually having to work for a kill against people who have a reasonable ability to prevent their death...

You know what? Fuck it right?

Limited to 1 Doran's item.

Shield: implemented as is on pbe

Sword: 20 on-hit damage and heal for 20 on hit.

Ring: no AP, but spells heal the caster for 15-20% of their mana cost (or 10 on spell cast for non-mana champs) and killing a minion refunds 20 mana (or 10 HP on non-mana champs)

Because fuck it. Seriously if that's what LoL needs to be fun again, why not?

Give 3 options on items that won't be outclassed until mid game at least. Makes the risk of starting with an item that builds into something very real.

Its a bug and becasue they left it and Kaisa bugged over the weekend its not worth playing on the PBE

in all honesty, this is what item 3083 should do.

the passive currently doesnt make the item really worth it over other potential pick ups, and since riot has pushed more and more % health damage into the game over the years, even on tanks (Ornn), its barely even justifyable anymore.

im not talking about 300 hp over 10 seconds (at least not unconditional), but a large % missing health scaling in combat regeneration might breathe new life into this item. could make the strength of the regeneration dependent on how many enemy champions are nearby with something like 400 range.
