What Should I do? (Actual situation inside; just want outside opinions)

I've watched a lot of streamers/youtubers, and some of them recommend that to better learn mechanics, you must play simple champions. I tried this out, but even with the simple champs like Tryn or Kayle I get very bored, or even just do awfully. Before this, I've played a lot of poke champions; especially azir (I use a poke build I came up with) and always do either average, or great with them. I know that low-skill champs are perfect for learning in game mechanics, but I feel as if by practicing them I am just going to lose games. What should i do? Thanks, and good luck in the Rift! Simply put, find champions you don't mind or even have fun playing with. Experiment and have fun.

If it were low elo ranked, I'd prefer that you played what you're best at and enjoy playing, and if that's Azir instead of Annie then so be it. In Bronze at least, games tend to be decided by player skill rather than by picks. There's always normals if you want to practice in a (in theory) stress-free environment, too. I pretty much play normals exclusively these days.

Learning low-skill cap champions is how you get foundational understanding of the game to improve. If you don't care about improving too much or climbing rank than play the champs with which you have fun.

Also learning basics is important because you then avoid bad habits and learn the basics of the role you are playing.

If you want to get better at a position or role low skill cap champions is what you play.

Learn champions in normals, expect to feed for the first few games while you are learning difficult champions.

Then when you are actually good at them play them in ranked. If you are good at a champion and you are happen just playing them over and over again I don't see why you wouldn't play them in ranked...
