For a while now Ive been maining Zilean mid (sometimes support,) and whenever I play a different midlaner, I feel that I just cant carry without playing Zilean; that Zilean does way more than any other midlaner. Am I just really delusional, or has my playstyle become centered around Zilean, to the point where my playstyle doesnt work on anyone but Zilean? Thanks! ^.^

Wimbledofy1 votesdepends on the champ you play. I used to play ap tryndamere a lot last season and I played him a bit this season. I didn't feel like he was the best, but I really enjoyed him and I did feel like he was superior to normal tryndamere in every way. My favorite adc is sivir and I feel like she is one of the best, but if I had to play jinx or something I don't feel like my playstyle is ruined.
The Deckowner1 votessuperior might mean different things for different people. A champ might be superior to someone because the player is super familiar to the champ and very comfortable playing it. Or it can mean the champ is just flat out strong in the player's opinion.
For example, Xin Zhao is probably my most played champion, everyone knows he is not doing so hot in the meta right now, but I just feel like he is much superior than someone like jax or master yi, even tho I know those champions have more power than Xin, the feeling when I play Xin is better.

TheOvermind4 votesAs a fellow zilean main I need to inform you that once fully mastered, zilean can do wonders. When people first play him all they see in him is a stun a slow and a revive. There is so much more in him though that when fully unlocked does insane things. This is also evident in his winrate per games played, where players with 125 + games in him boast a very high 63 % winrate up from the 52 % players with less games on him have. Keep playing him man. The more you learn the more you can do. Zilean has an answer for every situation and can fit like a glove in any comp, when played to his full potential.

Battlecast Sona1 votesI imagine if you put in the time on another champion you would begin to learn their tricks and start to feel that you contributed more, but Zilean happens to just be a midlaner/support with oodles of utility that fits into a lot of team comps. It's pretty normal to feel like your main offers more though, cause they do offer more for you - you have more games so you understand how to play the champ better.

Though it's more on your playstyle centered on Zilean and I don't see anything wrong with that.

I dont like trusting my team to wipe their own bottoms
in botlane its Jhin, because he gives me the utility i need to feel relevant, and has damage too

I generally feel like I can do better than anyone in terms of EVERYTHING because of maining him. I'm in an emperor who has everything a team and midlaner wishes they could have. And I have won many games to prove that I can show the potential.
And yes I think it's normal to believe you're the best. There is no down side in believing you can carry.

LordGeovanni1 votesThat would be finding a champion that fits your play style and unless your play style is sit back spam high damage spells for minimal cost or burst the enemy before they can respond your almost everything else has been nerfed into obscurity because riot finds it hard to balance everything that isnt straight up damage from a significant range

You play a champion long enough and you find their strengths so their strengths are all you see, and you learn to cover up their weaknesses so they feel less apparent. It's a big reason why people who main one champion are so feared on that champion: they've learned to play them so well they really are superior to every other champion in that role to that one person.

when you main sth you know how to play match up Like me main Riven, I know how to play against my counter and do stuff bla bla but if I pick another top champ I rarely play I can get fck over if I met its counter.
Thats why you feel that your main is better cause u know wtf you are doing basically hehe xd
