It's kinda incredible how Riot made a league addict like me just stop wanting playing the game

I only played ranked unless few occasions friends want to play together, I always play tons of ranked daily, losing or winning I would continue to play.

I've successfully climbed to diamond 5 where I left last season, now the ladder is just not climbable, games are full of premades where people just want to hit diamond with the assist of their friends and/or people stop giving fucks to this shit ass system.

I want to take this game seriously, but I can't really play a game where the game is decided not by my play but the quality of the premade I get vs. opponents get.

At this point I have absolutely no motivation to play the game other than to get the first win of the day, Riot you successfully destroyed the fun part of ranked League of Legends and potentially saved my semester.

I'm about to quit league, more than 10 of my friends bought eloboost to fucking diamond, and also the game has just been real screwed up since they tried to "fix" season 4 meta...

The one they got usually around 1k+ but since they knew the diamond 1 from another game they got them for only 300 each.

The problem is every game that they were boosted ruined a fair game for the 9 other players in the actual rank trying to play and just fill up diamond with shitty players who act good and make it harder for people who deserve diamond to reach it.

I've been playing Aram exclusively since it was put in the game. League's standard game mode has always been a joke for solo players, and this season, Riot is formally jumping on that bus to tell us all to quit playing altogether.

To be honest, I no longer even do daily first win bonuses or ARAM. The game simply is not enjoyable, even in bots. Maybe especially in bots.

I'm in this boat too. Stopped playing altogether this year. Not because I don't want to play league. But because I WANT to play league, minus all the terrible decisions this year.

So much this...

I had a nice game yesterday being the filler in 4-man premade. It was a long non-stomping game, quite satisfying except for the fact that being the mvp I felt the outcome wasn't in my hands but relied in the premades (enemies also had a 4-man premade) teamplay. Sadly, the enemies' coordination was a bit better and we lost. The problem is that my personal, solo-player rank was mostly affected by two arranged teams' performance . Thank you DQ.

But your personal solo-player rank has always been affected this way, just by two non-arranged teams' performances.

If you had 5 Randoms and they had 5 Randoms, it still would have been a situation where if they had slightly better coordination you still would have lost.

You are, and will always be, only 20% of your Teams potential, and only 10% of the impact on the Game as a whole, regardless of how many people group up together.

MMR and LP Gain/Loss should still only be affected by your ability to participate in the match in a meaningful way, not whether you Win or Lose, ESPECIALLY in Dynamic Queue where a Premade could decide everything.

Inhibitors/Towers Assist (should really be a 10 second window where you get credit for killing/assisting in killing a tower) > Baron > Dragons > Kills > Assists > Wards > CS / Deaths

Basically a similar algorithm to what they use to calculate the LoL Esports scores, just putting more emphasis on Objectives rather than Kills/Assists.

Okay... so now I go off Killing Dragon while I let my team mates die, Ward at the base to get my Ward Count up and other techniques to simply game the system into giving me a good 'Score'.

I mean, look at are current Grade System going on... Supports have a very hard time cracking an S+ because it can't take into account the many things a Good Support does to aid their team.

Also nothing keeps me from coming out of the Jungle to apply a single Hit to an Inhib or Turret than go back to Farming despite having 6 Items and Sated fully Stacked (obviously not good Team Play).

Point is, there is no perfect solution.

Yeah and there are other numbers like damage shielded/healed/tanked than can be credited in order to award the proper rank. The algorithm may be more difficult to develop, but almost anything would be better than the big middle finger that DQ is for solo players nowadays

You are not taking into account that when I'm the 5th man filling the premade, they have actually a higher degree of control on stuff like coordination, role selection and mmr spread, not even mentioning that they may or may not use voice programs (and if they don't, but enemies do, they are putting us -me too- in a bad situation). Same for the opposite premade. Meanwhile, when 5 random people face andother 5 random guys, differences in skill and teamplay may exist, but if they do, the 'good ones' are rewarded for their superior skills and therefore ranked up.

So no, in DQ I'm not anymore 20% of my team's potential. Sometimes I will get the 'pro' premaders and easily win or stomp our enemies. But it's still a coinflip. And it's definitely not a real ranked game with individual rating

Diamond 5 last time, but between general bad luck and not wanting to wait 5+ minutes in q, so I pick fill and get support, I've got 5-18 this season. Only a few of these did I legitimately play badly. You shouldn't lose that much, even just based on statistics.

I stopped playing because the meta became garbage. Riot can't seem to make up their minds on what kind of meta they want for the season so they just keep changing everything. How can a game be competitive if it's constantly being changed? That's like if in the NBA every other game the hoop was set at a different height. It doesn't even make sense.

I legitimately don't understand these posts. Do you people really have this halcyon memory of seasons past? It was absolute trash. It was AT LEAST as much of a troll-festering, luck-based, madness that it is now.

Now, there IS a problem with the pace of games. They DID make a lot of snowballing changes to the game that have made the games FEEL horrible. That is, games are quite a bit more stompy than they used to be.

HOWEVER. That is NOT that fault of DQ. At all. The is a fault of the vision, minion, and tower changes.

IT IS NOT Dynamic Queue.

Dynamic Queue is overall a superior system in everyway.

Come ON people, keep our eye on the ball. Stop attacking this strawman.

And yours isn't? I do honestly wonder how many of these people have actually been wronged by the new system and how many are just jumping on the bandwagon of hate. Though I can't really speak for everyone, as I only ever play ranked with at least one other person. But ranked is still the same experience it has been for every other season. It isn't about how good you are at the game, its about how much the enemy sucks more than you.

As far as I can tell, I don't get matched up against pre-mades that often. And when I do, it's a duo group, and I'm with a friend. And honestly, when I play with a friend, we don't use skype or anything like that because it makes the game lag. And really, even when we do use skype, it's just to complain about work or talk shit about people in school and call the jungler bad names. I think people just want a scapegoat and this is an easy target since solo queue was promised and never given.

Everybody who complains about this is right though, tbh. Solo queue was promised and we should get it. Like, how riot doesn't understand this is beyond me. Personally I don't care if we get solo queue or not, I'm fine with dynamic queue, and I don't think premades are the issue in this game. The issue is paper towers, long death timers, and snowballing to Hell and back. But at the end of the day, Solo Q was promised and we should get it.

And until then, people will make threads about it for upvotes while a few minority will actually make threads because they care.
