This is absolutely insane, I had to play my secondary role 3 times in 4 games as support/mid

Every time I'm in promo, some weird shit is bound to happen, such as more than 2 people not on primary roles.

But this time it is really nuts for me, out of all 4 promo games (if you count the last game to reach 100LP), I got to play mid as support/mid THREE times. What is even happening here? Right now it should be the peak of prime time in NA (11PM eastern, 8PM western) on a Saturday, and I'm queuing up as the most wanted role, the algorithm just can't let me on my primary role during god damn promos?

I don't wanna sound salty because I actually won them, but something is off for sure. The game just can't put me or anybody else in promo in another queue to ensure the quality? I don't think it would be a much longer queue time if the game just matches me with another set of players.

After all, it just doesn't make sense you get auto loss during promos for dodging lobby, way too many times I've seen two people asking for roles while I'm also on secondary role during promo, this is just unfair and it does not reflect the meaning of promo, winning a bo3 is already a challenge, taking away the only tool to avoid unnecessary handicaps is frustrating.

If somebody dodges que then you leave the que as you will get autofilled immediantly

If you the first accept doesn't go through dont wait for the second just re que you always get autofilled

I would say more people are playing support rather than Mid since that lane is useless and trash along with its champions in this meta. While getting a good ADC or properly supporting one is the ~~best ~~ Only way to win

I thought promos were supposed to guarantee your first role? Or was it guaranteeing first and second?

you will always support when not in promos then have to go mid for promos because you are not in the mindset to take on midlane after doing a bunch of matches as support

I hate that secondary role doesn't count as autofill and doesn't give autofill protection. Sure it's not technically autofill but it's not like you have a choice to not pick it, so it might as well be.

The current highest role numbers are support and adc actually. Mid is third followed by jungle then top. This isn't really a strange phonemena.

I que Mid/Top and get Mid 80% of the time

When I que Top/Mid I get Mid 30% of the time

Less people play mid now, likely because we're in a bot lane meta and many people who played mid to carry switched to bot
