Getting an S as Support

I'm pretty pumped about getting the level 6 and 7 masteries, though I'm finding it difficult to get that second S-, S, or S+ as blitzcrank. Granted, it's only been 3 games and I got one, but my question is this: What does riot take into account to determine my rank? Both games were stomps resulting in a surrender at 20 and 21 minutes for the past 2 that I did not get an S. My scores were 3/0/5 and 2/1/4 respectively with over 70% kill participation. I always had a pink down, first item sightstone and always had all 3 wards up, my pull landing on a champion was above 80%, took part in towers and dragon, etc. And riot gave me a B. That doesn't seem quite right, why should I have to KS 10 kills in order to get an S? My play was spot on and our tristana absolutely loved me for it. Uncle rito, why? FeelsBoostedMan

I'm still trying to find the actual criteria for getting S rank on supports, but you should do most of the following:

  • >60% kill + objective participation
  • a few kills, 2-3 is good enough
  • a very sharp KDA, getting 3+ KDA on supports is nothing if you know how to steal assists
  • some lane and jungle creeps, you want to have a little bit of everything if possible
  • more damage dealt
  • lots of wards bought, placed, and destroyed

It's no easy task, but you have to be smart enough to get an S as support.

your number of assists is still really small... i got s as janna today 1/0/16, didnt even get a "+" lawl.

I´m a main blitz supp and isn´t that hard to have at least an S- Just assist your team kills every time you can, place wards and destroy enemy wards.
