How do you treat each League match?

I'm talking about how you go about winning. For some people it's just a matter of mechanical knowledge. Know the matchups and the champion you're playing better than the other team and you'll win. For me however, I think of it a little bit differently. I think of a League game as almost a chess game of sorts. Moves and counter-moves all to try and take the king, the nexus. I was interested if all of you treat the game as a raw measure of skill, a chess like game like I do, or some other way.

I just try to know my match up and hope I don't get outplayed. I'm shit at not getting outplayed.

As a Support Main, the first 8 minutes is always the same pattern.

0:00-1:29: Lie in wait to prevent invades. Move to leash if applicable. Or: Invade and try not to die. 1:30-4:00: Leash and/or head to lane. Apply pressure where able. Set up kills if possible. Try to keep vision on the river. Buy SS as soon as able. 4:01-8:00: Keep vision maintained on the tri, river, and dragon pit. Apply Pressure where able. Keep my eyes open for incoming ganks and try to keep tabs on the enemy mid and jungler as to not be surprised by the inevitable bot party that comes every game.

After the laning phase breaks down, I work to keep vision on high traffic areas and rotate to mid or top as needed. I watch timers and try to keep vision applied to Baron and Dragon Pits as they spawn, as well as keeping tabs on where the enemies are if I spot them on the minimap.

Each game is different, but still the same, in a strange way.

League is literally chess but on a much larger scale with 10 players. Chess is a game of skill, so is league.
