New Dark Harvest is just accentuating some already unbearable flaws in ARAM

when there's a team of champs like vel'koz, ziggs, or varus, and they have at least one competent tank, there is no hope for winning the game if you are a melee champion.

aram needs specific, targeted nerfs to poke oriented mages or catchers who can 'burst' you down with two abilities from across the lane. it's not fun, it's not fair, and it ruins the experience of this mode.

when you're playing a fighter or assassin and you have 6 dark harvest procs while the enemy mage has like 20 you know there's a problem, a problem that's existed for a really long time. aram is absolutely zero fun for at least 5 people because of champs like vel'koz, ziggs, xerath, lux, varus, jhin, and others. tanks like sion, alistar, and ornn are also often disproportionately powerful and shut out entire team compositions. this new dark harvest is just exacerbating the problem.

i really wish riot would implement some specific balance changes to that game mode because while i enjoy playing it with friends my experience is almost always ruined by a broken team comp against which there is little to no counterplay, and it's hard to have fun when you know you just got fucked by RNG off the bat. half my games feel like a slog now because i roll a melee non-supertank or a short ranged character and im gunned down by 5+ nukes as soon as i move past my tower. i feel trapped for 10-15 minutes and it's a zero-fun experience. even when its me playing as one of these oppressive champions it feels cheap at how easy my gameplay translates to aram and what a huge advantage i have over the rest of the cast.

riot said that one of their goals for this preseason was to make games feel winnable while also shutting down stomps much quicker. this same philosophy needs to apply to aram and i think that specific balance changes to oppressive picks will improve player satisfaction immensely.
