How exactly does GP/Klepto work?

From what I understand, if you use Q to proc Klepto on the enemy champ, you aren't using it to farm Serpents off minions, right? What's the supposed OP synergy with him?

It's a meme build that works for low elo players. Vs half decent oponnent klepto gp will miss out on farm and probably give a bunch of kills, because of their greedy set up (They usually go spellthieves aswell)

tobias fate confirmed it's the best rune you can get on GP (and see his op.gg too) because it gives you lane sustain , something that GP didn't have ... i guess you are a meme , not a 3 million GP points challenger player

If you can go kleptomancy and actually win your lane or atleast go even on gp, then by all means do it, its obviously worth it.

I don't play as much in the preseason anymore 1—2 games per day usually, but I faced quite a few Gangplanks by now, and every single one of them fed me solo kills in lane and got really far behind. Simply because gp is already weak early game, and then you go for money making builds, that make him even weaker. What do you think will happen 9 times out of 10?

His Q is "auto attack" and ability at the same time , so from Q only can trigger kleptomancy

However, if he uses Q to proc klepto, it means he's not farming his Silver Serpents for the ult upgrade because he needs to kill minions with his Q for that. 1500 coins is not easy to get if you've been wasting the entire lane phase shooting the enemy instead of minions.

you can get them mid-game where nobody is top ... early game you proc kleptomancy for money , consumables(that you gonna sell ) and get triforce within 10 minutes and keep going for SS or more money

Using Q on the enemy instead of on minions in lane was ALWAYS the best way to play GP even if you weren't using Bandit. It's more important to be dealing damage to the enemy to try to keep them wary of trying to dive you.

Once you get Triforce you'll be rolling in Silver Serpents, missing out on a couple in lane is not a big deal.
