So where's AP assassin itemization?
AD assassins got a few new tools in out-of-combat movement for all items building out of Serrated Dirk, a new Lethality system that scales nicely into lategame, Edge of Night, Duskblade's raptor effect, and even Poacher's Dirk for AD assassins that like to head into the enemy jungle.
Meanwhile AP itemization is left unchanged despite almost every AP assassin being hard nerfed. Nothing to help them deal with squishies often buying offensive MR items such as the new Edge of Night, Hexdrinker/Maw and Mercurial's. Nothing to help them roam in the early game to make their presence known. Nothing to help them survive a bit longer or help them stall out the stupid delays they got on their burst. Nothing to even help them scout out vision to help them sneak around the enemy team and properly assassinate. And of course, no love for AP junglers that might want to be rewarded for counterjungling.
Great job, Riot. You just made your bias towards AD even more prevalent.
Fun fact: Every class has means of buying magic resistance without giving up relevant amounts of their main stat:
for offensive AD types.
General MR itemization for tanks;
.
for supports.
Even
for AP champions.
Very few classes are able to do the same with armor. ADs have zero options, APs have one subpar one in
. Supports are the only ones that seem like they have a decent amount of options, and that's only because they don't really have a 'main' stat. Tanks are the only class that have multiple options to buy both Armor and their main stat (health) in a single item slot.
