Does Flex 5:5 MMR factor into Solo/Duo MMR once placed? Because >

It just seems oddly coincidental.

For the first 40-50 games I had a 80% winrate, climbed steadily from S4 to S2, the next 50 odd games evened out at about 60% winrate and I hit gold promos. Then roughly the time I hit Gold promos (and had a few troll games), I also placed in Flex queue in B3 (I play flex solely during the wee hours of the morning when solo/duo is disabled), then amazingly, after this, i've had literally 80% loss rate from trolls and people who are playing more akin to the flex queue people I was playing with. Like people who have utterly no idea how to calm down and play safe, can't admit mistakes, and not just 1, like 2-4 every game.

How can I possibly go from a solid 60% winrate over 100-120 games, to a now almost 80-90% loss rate over the past 20-40 games? it's beyond stupid. There is no evenness in the teams, the teams are insanely lop sided. I look at the stats and often I see that the enemy team has players with 1000-2000 normal wins, but I look at mine and most of them have an average 200, give or take 200.

This is a clear difference in matchmaking and i'm wondering what is going on.

When matchmaking is this uneven, it makes the game extremely unenjoyable.

EDIT: Also no I don't think the MMRs are mixed, it's more of an opening point to the thread about odd matchmaking.

You were getting really lucky, then reality came with sword in his hands and a hasagi! in his head and put you back in your place.

People are here giving you answers and you're discrediting it without further thinking about what could be going on? Here's an answer I've helped someone out with sometime last week, modified to hopefully fit your question.

Flex 5s is a completely separate MMR Ranking, just like Flex 3s (and ranked teams of any kind before that). As it was said, chances you are getting lucky with the matchups you get during the times you play in Flex 5s. But account that more players are focused onto playing Solo/Duo than Flex, which is likely to have groups of people just having their manner of silly fun here and there (also less players collectively in the same ranked divisions). Using statistics of normal wins doesn't necessarily apply to much. You can win 2000 normal games, be Silver 3, and face Silvers anyway. As for rank, you can be Bronze in Flex and Plat in Solo/Duo. The MMR doesn't mix, but with the quantity of players being very skewed, it can give off what looks like imbalanced matches. To me that doesn't matter. People tend to be fine facing people under them or equal to them with shorter span of game play experience but not with those above them with a longer span or a faster climb.
