After winning 8-9 games straight i dont think ill leona anymore after getting to g3 >=(

So in the lower elos I was able to abuse leonas kit a little to climb. now it seems as the teams get tougher everyone is a mage/burst and as a tank leona i am mitigating nothing. They are killing me as fast as they kill my carrys it seems, only i dont do any type of real damage. I see why catchers are popular because with how bursty the meta is, whoever can make it a 4v5 wins the game via 1 pull where they are super out of position. As Leona I have to literally dive into the team, but diving I die just as quick as an assassin but i dont have any of the escapes assassins usually have so i just feel so useless. Maybe i am playing Leona wrong, but I went pure tank..puure tank and got ate. Got that AOE shield thing and it soaked no damage.

i might try Ali out. I like Leona, but shes just so squishy. I want a tank tank. Maybe Braum should be what i go...

All they need to do is give her the garen treatment.

Lower resist amount slightly and give it a shield on top the resists; maybe add % damage reduction. And make her E 100-0 people.

Across all regions combined, Leona has a 51.56% win rate with a 19.6% pick rate. Being higher in Gold doesn't mean there are players that all of a sudden know how to play against it when she is still over performing in every elo in every region. In Korea Platunum+, she has a 55% win rate with a 19.1% pick rate.

If you are randomly performing bad many matches in a row, it could be you having a couple of bad games MIXED with a bunch of mismatches (cause of mismatches can be from player skill to champion drafts). It is possible to lose 16 games in a row and follow that up with winning 25 games in a row without changing your champion or strategy at all.

Leona is one of the tankiest supports because of her W, and she's a great user of aftershock

Leona deals little damage and because her W scales on resists she really sucks if you fall behind as her tankiness is doubly dependent on her income

If you can pick the right moments to engage you can just snowball a lot of games. CoreJJ used Leona to climb through Diamond+ on EUW because he just knew when going in would get leads

Leona is a strong support, but she isnt good if youre solo queing. Shes actually one of the worst if youre solo queing above Gold.

Can try Alistar I got g4 to p4 in like 40 ish games. Good balance of engagement or peel. R makes him tank vs almost all damage and he has solid itemisation with variable build paths. Good generalist. But ffs ban morg cuz she makes your q w e all useless.

Honestly I love leos kit. If your team does not have poke or is low range I think she is a better tank for that comp. I like braums kit but between idiots not triggering his passive, not understanding the requirement of "stand behind me!" And his slower R speed for long range engage I'm just not thrilled with him outside of. Allied lucian matchups.
