Ahri feels weak

Maybe I am doing something wrong, which as a low elo player I probably am, but Ahri just feels so weak. Like I feel like I play her decently, but the amount of effort it takes to be even decent at her isn't worth the reward, esp when simpler champs feel so much more beneficial to the team. My main struggle is in laning. Last hitting on her is annoying to me, and if i use too many Q, i run out of mana way too fast, and champs like zed and yas just torture me after that.

She's quite strong atm in the meta. She's safe with her ult, has lots of mobility, hard cc, wave clear, and sustain. She's an all around good pick but ad melee champs can be a nuisance. Once you get your first item you can clear out the caster minions with one Q and then last hit/W the melee minions. If you want burst got Electrocute and if you want good damage and utility go Glacial. I do agree though last hitting with her has probably been the hardest champ for me to get used to but practice practice practice.

The first time I faced off against a jarvin as ahri was a real pain. Once he hits level 2, he can easily gapclose and smack you around and you have to save your ult for when he ults.

I analyzed your recent games and i found out some trends in your games. 7.3 / 3.8 / 8.3 KDA per average 44% winrate out of 67 games. First thing is that you actually do less damage than the average Ahri players. In some games, you made the statistics of the bottom 20%. Judging from your low death rates, you seem to have the habit of positioning way too far behind thus losing target range. (Maybe you are only hitting enemies with the tip of your AOE spells instead of multiple enemies) Second thing is that you have a tendency to not have a single kill or assist in 10 mins in a lot of games. Basically you are not moving to a skirmish or roam which is the best part of making a game deciding play. (I average around 3-4 kills or assists in pretty much very game before 10 mins.) Third, your statistic says you do not seem to be hitting towers. A rule of midlane is that if your opponent roams and you cannot follow. You have to hit their tower and try to take their plates. Finally about builds. Corrupting potion is way superior than dorans. It makes you able to trade confidently far better and will conserve your gold from buying further more potions. My winrate went so high up because i was able to make more early plays because of this with timewarp tonic.

What are you basing this on? According to Poro, I am slightly above average when it comes to damage. Same for kills/ assit per min. I will say I do suffer from cs..or lack of, and hitting towers, but thats usually because I prioritize roaming vs sitting in mid after i kill/ push a wave. I will work on that, but the previous 2 show I am right where the "average" ahri is.

So what I'm saying here is that "sitting in mid" is only making a stalemate since you are not making moves in the first 10 mins. Games can be decided at that very hour. You CAN kill the enemy push the wave and move with your jungler. But the statistics says you are actively making a choice here. It's ok to stay in mid, but you can do it even better.

I do not sit in mid.

I do not sit in mid.

Then I wonder what are you doing for the first 10 mins being 0/0/0 in a lot of matches.

Ahri is kinda the " carry me " champion That's how she is balanced I agree about playing her feels not worth it , with the amount of effort you do playing her , a lot of things could be done if you played another champion

Go double dorans if you have mana issues, the lane pressure of having priority is well worth the gold price. You really should be maxing e second most of the time, the longer cc duration sets you up to land an additional q before they can get away in all ins. Glacial build turns off any skill requirements to landing e. Would also recommend learning the e-flash combo to get important picks.

Yasuo is about one of the hardest lane counters Ahri has since none of your spells hit through windwall, but Zed is fine with double d-ring into seekers + hitting e when he ults and dodging shurikens with r.

There is no point in maxing E on Ahri. CD and damage amplification are same at all levels. But it can be decent on ARAM games for slightly more CC duration.

As I mentioned, the longer cc makes it much easier to get a second q off in the duration of r. Some matchups (mainly into a ton of unpredictable mobility) it is not a good idea, but overall it is a solid skill order. I specifically found it made finishing kills much easier.

Edit: Could've also said I don't suggest this if you go glacial, they can't move with that build anyway.

I might try that. Like I do not struggle struggle with her in lane. Mainly it's levels 1-5 that i can fall behind in CS. I do appreciate the help tho. Lately I've just kinda put her on the back burner and am trying out support and ez mode morgana mid.

TBH the only thing I don't like about Ahri is her W.

If Ahri is ahead, 1 q hitting twice will clear caster minions. If you aren't ahead, prep them by autoing them twice. Ahri can clear waves faster than more assassins because she has a foot in the mage camp, so fast pushing and roaming works well on her. If your opponent roams and you don't want to follow (say it's Fizz), you can easily push the wave into his turret and start taking it while he's trolling your teammates.

For mana, try to use only 1 Q per wave unless you are fast pushing. Don't toss a charm unless you can get a lot out of it like forcing the other guy to burn a flash or recall after the trade. Use your autos for harass as much as possible.

You can also get items to help out: item 1056 - 60 mana per minute but it can't be upgraded item 3285 - typical rush item item 3027 - not great on ahri, she spikes mid-game and this thing takes forever to charge.
item 3003 - you never have to worry about mana again and it gives a ton of AP, but like RoA the timing is bad for ahri.
item 3508 - ADC ahri could take this first

Basically you need to work on your last hitting and get ludens ASAP. Try to avoid RoA or Archangels on her because in my experiments, they make her weaker at the time she should be winning lanes. Frankly riot doesn't want games lasting too long anyways.

I'd have to watch a few games to know, but I know that the key with her is the burst combo. She's an AP burst assassin. So you have to E-Q-W combo to get it. Electrocute is best for this, and you need pen early. Taking ignite is also a good idea.

The barrier for her is facing no mana champs like Zed. You have to get better at not using your skills to wave clear alone. When Zed goes in to last hit, that's when you try to land a Q on him and the minions. You also have to stay at range until you're ready to go in for the burst. You also will not avoid all of their poke, so when your passive is stacked, go ahead and run a Q through a full wave. Lots of healing to be had there.

Ahri is hard to master. I'm getting there, but even I haven't yet.

You're playing her wrong. Ahri has been skinsale buffed into S tier thanks to the koreans and she's been there for 2 years. Her kit is utterly skill less and has 4 easy buttons on it.
