Please allow at least 1 dodge per promos

Just had a game where I wanted to dodge the all ad team where 2 mates were on long losing streaks. Couldnt so forced to play..only to lose as i thought i would from the jump. Riot, you give free wins if we lose our first promo attempts, or derank. Can you find it in your hearts to give a free dodge? Not a free W, but just if we dodge 1 or 2 times we dont auto lose promos. Just make it to where the lp is negative once we are done with promos if anything. Thanks.

again with the fucking dodging. quit complaining about team comp and play the fucking game. dodging is not only not a viable strategy like most players claim but it is completely disrespectful to the other 9 players. even if there is a "troll pick" there are still 8 other players and if you dodge you're only doing the trolls job for them. there is a reason why you are penalized for dodging and to be honest the penalties need to be harsher. it is because the penalties are so light that players would rather dodge because they'd rather take the -3 LP and 5 minute dodging timer than losing -30 LP in a lost game because of a troll. dodging will never be condoned or encourage by riot. so just stop asking for free dodges. it will never, ever, happen.

1, i never said anything about a "troll pick", i talked about losing streaks, but really i am talking about when in pregame lobby teammates are already at one another. I do not dodge when someone picks an off meta champ. Heck i "mained" Karma top for a while. I dodge when I can tell this isnt gonna work. Dodging is an effective strat to climb according to most pros in challenger, so there is something to dodging.

don't believe everything you read on the internet. dodging to climb is counter productive and you know that. and if dodging becomes an actual strategy you follow then you're gonna lose more than you'll gain. not to mention a timeout penalty of up to 60 minutes. and even then that 60 minutes will not prevent you from queuing up with the very same players you want to avoid by dodging.

Well based on my climb, id say its been very effective. again, this is coming from MULTIPLE challenger guides on climbing. What is your rank? Comparing tekken, a 1v1 fighting game, to LoL a multiplayer game is asinine. Move on please. You dont like folks do dodge. Fine. but do you know who doesn't dodge? the pros in Worlds. not one team in Worlds has ever dodged and they are better players for it. because they played those so called bad games. they just learned to improve. and most importantly, dodging will not help you avoid the players on losing streaks. all you are doing is delaying the inevitable. sooner or later you will get a bad player. you just need to deal with it. I bet if either of us email riot staff (as trash as they may be) and ask them if dodging is viable they will more than likely say no if not outright close the ticket.

btw: I am no rank because I don't do that shit and end up with players like you. and I bet here and now you'll judge me and my opinion because of it (go ahead. prove me wrong. I dare you)

Here is what those sorry guides don't tell you. That ducking is like skipping out on class on a school day. You miss out of learning something new. And when you miss out on it enough, and that test rolls around, your just flat out screwed.

Try playing some fighting games online like Tekken. People just like you, ducking bad math-ups in order to protect their rank. Result? They get destroyed by those same match-ups later on. Now how can that be? "wEll tHe gUidE tOldD mE dAt it'S EsSenTiAl" wrong, very wrong. Eventually you will be forced to dodge more than play. Which will still result as an inevitable loss even if you played. Why? Because you never bothered to learn how to play those bad games.

Don't be so naive and believe everything those guides say. Or ignore what I tell you and continue dodging. Just forewarning for what you will encounter later on in ranked...

You are so delusional, say someone pick teemo with ghost barrier, why would u want to play? And there are comps that u lose from select so whats the point wasting time playing? Pros dodge on stream, hec hig elo players dodge all the time, are u saying we are not learning enough? There r games that u can learn but there r games that there is nothing to learn. Dodge bad match up game doesnt mean u will win all ur favor ones =)

Or just imagine playing as adc, and what u get for support, a qyana just because he just bought the new skin and couldnt get mid...well nothing more to say u all know how it ends..kill secured but not before flaming the midlaner because he was behind making him go feeding on purpose mode...so hell yeah dodging on promos should be allowed, even more when u can see that u play with teammates, who dont give a shit about improving their gameplay and knowledge...

Maybe play the game properly, don't trollpick in Ranked if you don't want others to dodge? Even losing 30LP worth dodging, because losing MMR is worse and you can gain that much LP back.

And you are contradicting yourself. You consider dodgers disrespectful to 9 players, but don't you think that it's disrespectful for 4 others in your team and for your enemy, if you don't try your best in Ranked? I mean, people literally play for that reason, because they want a good match, not a clownfiesta. It IS disrespectful for the enemy team as well, when you sabotage your own team, don't want to FF, there is 0 chance of coming back, and you are holding off 9 others? Not even the enemy team enjoys such games.

Better suggestion: get rid of promos. Allow people to stay at 0 LP until they lose X games and then bump their LP and rank down to what it should be had the soft floor not been there.

EVEN BETTER SUGGESTION: Get rid of this stupid system and let us just see our MMR since that's what is used for matchmaking anyway. It's dumb for me to have to beat people in ranks above me into order to get into a rank BELOW them.

honestly I don't want dodges for promos. I want there to not be promos. its an archaic system that only serves to gate keep you and your luck around your promotion. The only promos should be for tiers. Diamond, Plat, etc because you get shielded once you get to a new tier. but having to do promos for 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 is just dumb. there shouldnt even be a tier gold 1 -4. it should just be 0-400 LP then promos once you get to 400 LP.

promos can quite literally stunt your progress and make you have to grind more games. the amount of times ive had huge winning streaks to get into promos then run into two games that are pretty much unwinnable is unbelievable. sure it doesn't affect where you will ultimately end up, but it FEELS terrible. its so frustrating to have to grind more because of an outdated system.

It would be pointless. I used to dodge promos because they were so rigged I didn't want to risk repeating them. They rig them more if you have low mmr too. So for example if you somehow climb your way up to plat 4 promos but your mmr is like gold 4 (difficult to do but just using for example) your promos will be a stomp. You could be a pro player and probably lose that game. Before people freak out, yes pro's lose games too even while climbing, like 30% - 40% of games so don't start wigging out because you think they win everything. So anyway I used to dodge promos. All of them. When you dodge promos you keep your mmr (unless they changed something in the last couple of years) and just lose a few lp and don't get promoted. So I would get my mmr to where it's way above, and THEN when I did promos, I would skip a division.

This is actually pretty brilliant because anyone who both understands programming / algorithms and plays a lot of league knows that most games are a bit one sided, and I will tell you right now i'm 100% sure promo games have a higher probability to put you on the bad side. Some people will try to argue with this but the things I have seen in promo games...I know it for fact. Also I got an ezreal for every promo game on this account, and like maybe 1 or 2 ezreals in non promos and that's in over 100 games. IDK why this is...I haven't seen the algorithm with my own eyes but I can tell you right now promos are more likely to be hard, than to be easy, when compared to non-promo games.

TLDR / conclusion: So basically if you want to deal with promos less, try dodging them a couple rounds. Then skip a division or get free wins toward next promos (which means less promo games). You really don't lose anything because mmr stays where it was and LP means nothing over the span of many n games.

I know while typing this that the smart people will see the genius in this, and non-programmers who don't understand how all this works are going to lose their minds and try to argue.

I think they should raise the time penalty for dodging but remove the LP penalty. And if they find that people are just queuing up to dodge as often as possible in order to troll people, there should be a system implemented that bans those people. It wouldn't be hard to detect at all.

I've stopped dodging.

There's too many low ELO Akali and Gangplank players going into unfavorable matchups when the team needs something else. I've just started praying that they're smurfs, and it's end of season, so sometimes they actually are.

I dont dodge because of "bad matchups" I dodge if 1, the pre game chat is toxic, or someone bans someone highlighted champ already tilting a teammate, or 2, if when i look them up, they are on a 3-4-5 game losing streak back to back to back on the same day meaning they are probably tilted and I don't want 2 risk my mmr on them. Again I do not believe in most "troll picks" as any pic can work. I lost to a Leona JG a day ago when most thought it was troll.
