Irelia mid is absolute cancer...

How are you even supposed to deal with this? Honestly?

Considering she's a CARRY KILLER, and the only champs that "counter" her are Juggernauts, high damage early game fighters, and Malphite. None of which are ranged carries...

Once she's level 3 she can just all in you every. single. time. you get close to cs/harass her... And you can't kite her cus of the stun/slow. And you can't just chill back and farm from turret when she freezes the lane so easy. Especially considering that she only gets stronger as the game goes on.

Other non-meta picks mid aren't even close to this bad.. pantheon, wukong, lee sin, literally any tank at all. But you can't do shit as a carry vs Irelia, period. I can't believe that she has a kit that even allows this to happen.

The most obvious counter to Irelia would be to pick juggernauts... since you know juggernauts counter her...

and if she picks Irelia into your Lux and can manage to get close to you... that means you were too close to her to begin with.

If you get that close it means you aren't playing against her right. that would be your fault

You don't need to play a ranged carry mid. Fizz/Talon/Zed/Kat are all melee and they work just fine mid. That said, as long as someone else on your team has the waveclear, you can pick Malph/Cho/Wu mid and they'd all be useful late game or pick a high range champ such as ziggs/xerath and farm the lane out of her Q range. Syndra works well too with her disengage if your reaction times are fast enough.

Pretty much every playable midlaner should have enough cc to keep her away in the super short lane that is mid. I can't even think of a single midlaner that wouldn't be able to survive her. It's kinda like a quirkier Jarvan or Lee Sin mid.
