Am I just blind?
All but the bottom bit is background and stuff about me for reference. Anything else you'd like to know I'll be happy to provide. Lastly, dont let the name mislead you. I am a guy and wanted a troll name for in game.
I am a bronze 4 top lane main with jungle secondary. I normally do very well with more passive laners in top due to the fact it is isolated and i know how to not get caught and still stay 15-30 cs ahead (depending on the match-up). I normally can carry hard late game with Nasus (my main) unless I get kited to hell or the enemy team is 2-3 levels above the rest of my team (in which case I get focused and blown up usually because the rest of my team doesn't counter engage after 2-3 ulti's are blown on me).
I avidly watch streams and have seen almost every tips and tricks video on youtube from foxdrop to pants are dragon to sirhcez to phylol to scrapcomputer, in addition to watching game commentaries on my roles. I take the hours upon hours of tip and strat learning to the game.... and then I feed. As a top laner I either feed or stay even to the late game and then the game is up in the air depending on team fights/objective control (except for the occasional passive malphite on nasus when it's a free farm and i one shot squishies mid game).
As a jungler, whenever i play an early game champ i end up either practically spoonfeeding kills to my laner and they not get them, or the other jungler is doing work and I end up ganking so much to try to help my laners, I end up getting 2-3 levels behind even when i get successful ganks (ie summoners blown and/or assists) and minion tax after I complete said ganks. I understand the jungler is supposed to be a little behind due to his nature of roaming around the map and not getting exp from minion waves, but 2-3 levels, sometimes 4, is just too far behind to the point i get bursted immediately, even if i am full tank amumu.
This tells me that what I should do is learn to hypercarry and learn matchups better (powerspikes, cooldowns, etc), I have found guides for different carries such as ap amumu, darius top, jax, and pantheon, but the problem is whenever I try to take a hypercarry to learn them in normals, I end up just feeding. If I get behind I stay behind my minions and do what i can to farm and not overextend, but then i end up either getting sniped under turret or dove when i am only one kill or two behind. Then, on the occasion i do get an early kill or two. they do the same thing i do when i am behind, but i can never catch them. I just end up dying to the turret or they get away with a sliver of health when i use my full burst.
As said before, I try to watch commentaries on the champs i play. I try to predict what is going to happen and end up seeing the mistakes that the streamer takes advantage of as it happens (before he starts explaining it). I do my best to itemize correctly based on how i am doing against my laner and who is getting fed on the enemy team.
Finally the problem is, when I get into lane/jungle I end up not seeing those mistakes. I only end up becoming useful at the end of mid game/late game because I can cycle objectives and prioritize extremely well, hence why I play nasus, trynd, etc. I dont know if I am just blind, or are the other people that I end up seeing just dont make as many mistakes as I see on these streams.
