Are promos designed to have different matchmaking than regular?

Most people will call this just blind ranting (which some of it is), but I believe there is some legitimacy to this. Just skip past the rant if you don't want to hear it. It is there to get it out of my system and show where this is thought is coming from. I'll put a marker for where it ends. For legitimacy purposes, I placed a link to my Summoner page in na.op.gg

Rant: I have been through promos to Bronze 3 6. Yes. SIX F*CKING TIMES. I play a lot of Nasus and Trundle as top/jg roles (no i don't play Nasus jungle). I had a 68% winrate with Trundle going into promos this last time. I get into my promos. Before this I climbed from around 60lp to 100 with a 4/5 winrate. I was on a MASSIVE streak. One thing that was different. in the past after i lost my second round of promos, it gave me the first one free. Now it didn't. No matter. 68% winrate means i win 2/3 games. Odds are in my favor, for once. Guess not. I go into promo's, smash the first one because I was pumped and ready. In the past i usually lose the second after that win because I get cocky. I stop for the day. come back the next. Play a custom to get my reactions up to speed, and start the final matches.

First game: Lee Sin (who according to na.op.gg) had been played once in a ranked match. We had a stereotypical riven main going top against a xin zhao that dies 4 times before 7min is up. Their veigar became extremely fed off of our twisted fate, and we somehow were making a comeback because our lucian was a god (he had 41 kills by the time the game ended with 8 deaths). We needed one more good push to win and what happens? The lucian dies to lee sin and we instantly lose the game because veigar finishes everyone else off. We lose. Fine. Odds are in my favor that means that i should win the next one right? Wrong.

Second Game. This is one of those jungler's hell games. no lane is winning because of a fucking xin zhao (i really need to start banning him because he is an easier master yi with the same carry potential.. or play him). He was extremely aggro on all lanes because nobody would ward. Their bot was working perfectly in sync (a vayne and cass) and our lucian was greedy beyond measure. They were working so well together to the point that the xin had my top jungle warded up and the support had my bot jungle warded up. How many did our people place? I placed the only wards besides the support. Needless to say we were completely crushed. They had 3 sources of true damage, a xin to clean up anyone and everyone. I was building full tank and still was 2-3 levels below everyone on their team (because of xin counterjungling) AND getting 4-5 shot by the vayne.

End Rant

Back to my original claim.

I believe that the promos are differently created than the actual games. Whether it be carrying poorly playing people or pairing your level elo against a higher skilled one. I understand it is based off of your MMR, but for the sake of the example let's assume the MMR is equal to the division elo.

Throughout my different promos, I almost always end up having some people on my team play particularly bad. Not the lose 3 kills before mid game. I mean (take the riven from earlier) dying 4 times before 7min, or a shaco failing his lv 2 cheese then proceeding to die four more times in the enemy jungle, attempting to counterjungle, before ragequitting at 15min. In regular games it takes a good 3-4 games before i encounter something like that. Most games in regular division games are informative. I learn what mistakes were made and tidbits of information on how to gain advantages, but when it comes to promos, I go in and usually get sh*t on.

Take the first game for example mentioned earlier. The enemy team had 3 B3's, 1 B2 and 1 B5 vs my 4 B4's and 1 B3. I could rant about the drastic difference between a B4 and a B5 but I will save that for another day.

It is possible Riot has motives to doing this based on the logic that, if someone is good enough to be in promos, they have to be able to carry teammates of their elo, to weed out people that might have been carried themselves with a lucky break, even though every higher elo person from every server will tell you that doesn't happen.

It is reasons like these, that I end up raging at the game. If I have a game in regular division matches where I get completely dumped on, that's understandable, sht happens. The problem is when it consistently happens in promos. It ends up causing A LOT more stress than it's really worth. Frankly it has caused a couple of my friends to flat-out quit League. I love the game. I love the strategy behind it. I may be just a stereotypical, overreacting bronze btch, but this is really starting to make me wonder. I recorded some of the games so if I really am just screwing up a lot, let me know. Odds are I am, just don't see it.

I don't think its a good idea to stack that much armor and no health. frozen heart and thornmail on same build is kinda overkill.
