duoq +1 tier difference removed?

I managed to team up with a b5 player in ranked cause I thought it wasn't possible to play duoq, with people who have more than 1 tier difference. He asked me to play with him, and I wanted to prove to him why it wasn't possible, guess the joke is on me.

So what happened to the restriction, did they remove that feature on purpose or is it a bug with the new master tier 'n all?

Edit: Talked to some Rioters apparently it was a system bug that has since been fixed.

No, last time i tried playign with a friend who was bronze (i'm gold) it said "This summoner is to far apart to duoq with". Bronze can duoq with Bronze/silver, silver can duoq with bronze/gold, gold can duoq with silver/plat, plat can duoq with gold/dia, and diamond can duoq with plat/(challanger) i think. anyway they can of course duoq with people within those boundaries (including the same tier)
