Will Shen make a comeback ?

Does anyone remember back when Shen was either 1 pick or banned ?. I feel that he is out the meta in a disgracefull way. He will rarely get kills early, and unlike other top laners that can do something during team fights ( Maokai, Sion, Rumble and Irelia are all great at peeling and zoning, and there is always a Lissandra flanking you) his team fight he starts with his E than what ? He does no damage and there are other champs ( Sion, for instance) that do more damage when he jumps on them. Maokai can ult and reduce the damage his team takes, and still does damage at the end of the ability. Sion can ult into the other team, and use his shield that does damage. Rumble has his Q that hurts and is great for zoning. Gnar has a lot of CC as mega and as mini acts like a 2 carry. Irelia can get a Trinity force, than go full tank and still do a crap tone of damage. Shen only has 1 ability that does damage,( yes I know that his E does damge on impact, but it is not used as a damage skill) and even then, it is not a lot. His shield scales badly with ap, that most of the time, he will not build, and his taunt is great, but the hitbox and range are not good. His passive most of the time is no good either cause he has no time to auto attack. And the final thing that makes no sense is his ult. I love it, but if you ult the carry of your team, which I hope is in the back line of your team and you ult to him, who will do the peeling and zoning for the carry ? He could be a great split pusher ( He could push top lane for instance, and ult into his team if it is required) but he only farms with a sunfire cape, because he does no damage, and his Q is single targeted and buying a Hydra makes no sense, cause he does not scale at all with ad, so he can´t wave clear too well. Pls Riot, give Shen a buff, even if it is something that looks small ( Like Kennen´s W buff).
