Athenes got nerfed for being core on all mages, its time for morello to get the same treatment.

Its core because of the CDR. Same was true of athenes. The grievous wounds mechanic on it actually blows (only applies when target is below 35% yea not useful).

If they make another item with 20% cdr, you'll see a lot of that built as well.

Athene doesn't really exist anymore, except on a few champions. I can't even tell you what it does now. I think the word they use is "mitigation", whatever that means.

For future reference, mitigation is the reduction of damage based on armor, magic resist etc.

Well not really, it is what makes tanks tanky and carries have to build penetration items. It's just part of balancing the game. Without it every game would be like URF but without the 80% and no mana costs.
