All the top lane mains gonna probably downvote this but...

Below is a list of the most played champs of the current top 10 challenger top laners in NA(only counting if player has at least 5 games on a champ) 121 113(a few of these are JG offrole) 112 98 69 47 46 38 26 19 16 12 7 7 5(no trolling, more plays to counter GP then all tanks not named Ornn or Mao) 5

Bruiser so weak they make up like 80% of the top lane plays among the highest elo players. Now rito please buff them so they can 1 v 9 every game. It's what they deserve, because every top laner knows it's the only lane that should matter. Also JGlers remember you're my PvM support and if i lose lane it's your fault always.

I'm guessing you don't follow top lane challengers on Twitter. Dyrus is quitting, Adrian is stomping and saying it's not fun.

I'm well aware of this. I just understand the play rates of the top players are much more relevant to if a lane is balanced and are bruisers weak question. When compared to if someone is having "fun" which a subjective and emotional.

It's a game design flaw, not a balance flaw. Two different things.

When your complaint is it's not "fun" because tanks are OP and all the stat show tanks are a fucking joke in solo Q. Then all it does is make you look like a whiny little child who doesn't have any real reason why doesn't find the game "fun"

Who said the tanks weren't fun or were the cause? You have no influence as a top laner unless you snowball in the first 5 minutes and draw 3 people top, and even then it's on your TEAM to push with their pressure.

I play mid now, and Kat feels a lot more influential, as does Malz, Ekko, and Heim. I'm free to roam bot much easier, free to get a double kill/assist, and snowball 2 lanes at once. Top lane? I tp and they see it and leave because it takes 4.5 seconds and then I lose top tower because towers are made of wet toilet paper.

where did I say any of that? I said I can snowball TWO lanes at once, with mid and bot. Jungle can get ahead too, and if we have a shen he can ult bot and all 5 of us can get it on it.

The Dyrus example has come and gone. If you're not caught up yet, it's a joke/misunderstanding of how Dyrus is tied to League of Legends to pay bills.

That's not a joke. He tweeted it out himself.

I think Dyrus has enough money saved up to take a break from League, and I'm pretty sure he'd still have a similar amount of subs even if League wasn't his main game.

A lot more, check the boards, Reddit, people donating on Twitch, or in the game. But these "2 guys" are 2 of the most famous top laners for their own reasons and are known to always find fun in the game via new things like a new Riven mechanic or some off-meta build becoming viable.

I remember back in the day when jungle took skill ... When players like Stonewall and Saintvicious spent hours crafting proper jungle routes for various champions.

Now jungle is so piss easy, it's all about who can reach top at lv3 faster while the top laner is still lv2 to pick up their free 300g and start off the snowball.

And you have a summoner spell that ensures you win every 1v1 no matter what (ty red smite).

I remember when junglers would fall behind if they hard camped a lane, now they are free to do pretty much anything and still remain relevant in terms of exp and gold even if they pathetic ganks fail.

Jungle has been OP for so long (going into Season 8 now) compared to top lane it's a joke

I mean apparently it is since you can't seem to figure out play tank auto win game couldn't be further from the truth.

We're also talking about a team game and you're talking about your lane portion of the team game while giving zero fucks about what's fun to play against. But who gives a fuck about the other 8 people in the game only top lane matters.

What? Everyone likes facing bruisers more than tanks. A bruiser has actual gameplay, should dodge things (as opposed to a tank who soaks it), and is required to outplay you to kill you while a tank just presses a pointclick CC that you can't outplay 99% of the time.

Yes, tanks do auto win against bruisers. Tanks deal more damage early game than bruisers and late game damage doesn't matter because you're teamfighting now, where tanks are better because they provide more CC and more tankiness. Many tanks can push waves faster or equal to bruisers to negate splitpushing. What does bruiser do against a tank when they lose at all points in the game?
