rather what it does is it tell the client how to recreate exactly what happened in game,which is why the replay files are so tiny, and why they dont work in between patches.
if you want footage either record the match from start to finish i guess, or use some sort of streaming software.

That'd also most likely be why some things become visually inaccurate at low replay speeds. It's being told to recreate at a speed unnatural to League.
DuskDaUmbreon1 votesYou can record it with other software (OBS and the like), but other than that there's no way to retrieve it without the replay function in the client.
Unless your teammate happened to record it or something.
