Can diana become an assassin please?

She's a Squishy AP Fighter. Early game She's useless. Mid game Laning phase is where she can actually get a snowball started, however that snowball means nothing in team fights. Please tell me riot; A champion that is purely dependent on diving in and staying in: How is she supposed to play as a front liner in team fights when she's so damn squishy?! It makes absolutely no sense. Normal fighters like Vi and Xin can jump in and stay in because not only do they do damage, but they're also slightly tanky. Diana goes in, does a bit of burst and a little bit of damage, but she'll get pinned down instantly.

Which is why I think Diana would be a much better assassin. Being a squishy diver, she needs an escape mechanic. I know I'll get flamed for submitting this, But I think a Squishy ap melee champ that is reliant on diving in the middle of 5 people should have some way to escape to safety.

Her AP shield wont aave her from being in the middle of 5 enemies in a team fight after its gone

Her design is completely linear and one dimensional and contradicting for an assassin. A assassin is supposed to kill something and get away right ? Once you use R basically your fucked cause you have no cards left you just played your trump card. So what happens is you kill someone and then the enemy team just says okay she got nothing and slaughters you. Right now shes just a kamikaze with no direction. I really hope riot considers her a main candidate for the diver class update.

Okay, OP, you get your wish.

Which of her abilities do you remove to give her a way of leaving combat?

E should be changed to an escape

E should be changed to an escape

Okay, so Diana gets a moveblock instead of an AoE CC skill.

What sort of escape are we talking? Blink back to the last position she cast Q from? Because if it were a ground-targeted dash she would be able to use it to leap into someone's face, Q them point blank, and then double-R them with no real chance to react.

She already deletes people lol, faster than Kha'zix lmao

I didnt say she was bad. I main her, ofc she can delete. But shes way too squishy to dive in team fights with no escape

She was designed as a Diver. The stupid thing about her design is that she was designed as an AP champion instead of an AD one, that's why Vi succeeds and Diana fails. Vi can build 2 AD items and then tank up. Diana is forced to build full AP in an attempt to burst people like an assassin

Im fine with her bursting people but shes too squishy to dive in team fights with no eacape

I've found plenty of success as Diana building her every way under the sun. Does my team need a front line engage? Tank masteries, CotC, Barrier. It's easy to fit plenty of defensive items into her build and be successful with them, and stacking those 2 shields plus your W+Whatever your support/team brings can be brutal. Her only job isn't to burst people down, sometimes others on your team are suited just fine to do that. My favorite part of Diana(Other than her jokes) is the fact that I can build her to suit whatever need my team has. This season more-so than ever before.

The only thing that makes diana somewhat tank-viable is her passive. Otherwise you rely on burstibg people down

The thing with DIana is she can do both. She can be an Assassin, which is not much of a problem if the team has some followup to save her (item 3157 ) but she also can be a great tanky fighter. Easy way to proc CotC and a good shield alongside nice DPS because of good AA's and the low CD Q-R combos. (item 3025 )

Diana definitely is not among the best Champions on the Rift, but she's viable for those who like her.

I like her, but she still has one big flaw. Say she does use zhonyas. Shes still in the middle of 5 enemies with only 1.5k hp remaining. Should diana players just build zhonyas and pray our team saves us every team fight? She needs more durability

a little bit of dmg? O.o boy, 100-0 the adc entails for a LOT of damage, considering she also has a gap closer that resets and a shield that refreshes...

In reality her damage is too high for a diver, divers aren't supposed to be assassins, she's supposed to represent a problem if left alone, her damage should be loaded into her 3 hit passive, more specifically, it shouldn't happen at the third AA alone but it should scale with each auto, her ult should do no damage whatsoever though.

Purpl3Jungl31 votes

Yet her damage only strikes one unlucky enemy. She has no cards left to play in a team fight after the adc is gone. Shes too much like an assassin so lets just make her one?

uhm I wonder if she could in fact work as an assassin, I think it's better to simply adjust her to be a fighter, less changes in the long run?

Kyrrion1 votes

Nah, I like her tanky build much more. Her passive hits hard and her stickiness, especially with full CDR, is insane making AA's pretty reliable.

Purpl3Jungl31 votes

But her passive doesnt have a cooldown... it's AS reliant

Wit's End. More damage on-hit, boosts damage of all other abilities, more passive procs, and more tankiness - and relatively cheap to boot.
