Analyzing the Alistar Rework (Preseason)

In case you haven't already heard about from the hype revolving around preseason Alistar is getting a rework. This rework isn't major but it's not minor either and will change how he is played. My overview will mostly revolve around support Alistar

Rundown:

New/old passive: Alistar gains a stack of Triumph every time he displaces an enemy (like with his q) or when a nearby enemy dies (enemy minions) at 7 stacks Alistar roars healing himself for 20 and his nearest all champion for 40 (at lvl 1) on a 3 sec cooldown. Champion and epic monster kills fully charges the ability.

Pros/cons: Unlike Alistar's old healing roar ability it actually heals his allies more than it heals him, this may help in the early game when 40 health for your adc is an okay amount. However, when late game comes around his passive isn't going to do much.

Q changes: No longer stuns the enemy after they hit the ground

Pros/cons: The stun time was .5 seconds so this isn't a real impactful thing and is completely made up for it with an addition of another stun in his kit

NEW/OLD E: Alistar now tramples the ground dealing 100 plus AP in an area around him over 5 seconds. If you hit an enemy with your trample you gain a trampls stack, at 5 trample stacks his next basic attack against a champion will deal a bonus 50 magic damage and stun them for 1 sec.

Pro/Cons: The base damage on this ability along with the one second stun allows for the new Alistar to excel at harassing your enemy in the early game which can spiral to a major advantage if you play the lane correctly. However the mana cost will make Alistar's full combo W,Q,E or E,W,Q more expensive than just his W,Q which will force players to make smart decisions.

Overall: I think this is a major buff, Alistar now can dominate the early game and be a real nightmare to an adc when played right.

This was my opinion on the Alistar rework, I hope you learned something and your opinions are always welcome. Comment below if you think his Rework was a buff or nerf and why. Alistar

It certainly gives Alistar's more to think about and raises his skill floor a bit not that it was very high to begin with.
