Pros and Cons of Brand Support

We all saw Brand being pulled out by Likkrit during worlds, Brand hasn't been the king of the support meta but he is pretty strong.

Pros: -HIGH KILL PRESSURE Brand does so much damage with his combos and make it easy for his adc to follow up -Stun This stun is extremely rewarding in the laning phase, gives great poke and trades -Super high poke Brand just lets his adc farm while he just harasses the enemy with his abilities that do a lot of damage -good team fight potential unlike miss fortune brand has a great team fight potential with his aoe abilities -decent if behind

Cons: -Rylais was just nerfed Affects his damage even if you play him support -doesn't offer much utility Brand has no way to shield or heal his allies and can only dump damage out -Doesn't lane well against some tanks Brand doesn't do well against high cc tanks such as naut, leona, alistar but he can poke them down -needs to be protected Can't fend for himself he needs a team protecting him

As a Brand main a lot of this is on point except your con list.

This is partly right. It's a nerf of 25 ap, and that's it. While that does seem like a hit to someone who doesn't build a ton of ap, it's passive is unchanged for Brand. On top of that it got a massive gold reduction. With the little gold supports get it's actually a pretty big buff to Brand. On top of that Liandries torment went down 100g which also makes that 2 item combinations come earlier.

I don't think this is true at all. I think most people are foolish when they believe they can take on a Brand. Brand is deceptively strong with little items.

I think you miswrote your article. Here's the proper wording.

Pros:

  • Kills anything that comes within range
  • AoE kills multiple things in range
  • Stuns things that get too close to the ADC Cons:
  • There are none.
