like a single reason why would you pick her over literally any other mid laner

her burst damage is objectively worse than every other midlaner unless she's ridiculously fed
shitty range, slow projectiles
her ult is useless against high mobility enemy comps with a ridiculously long cooldown
her only cc is a mere fucking slow
squishy af with no way to compensate for it like a reliable cc or a shield, nothing

annie has shitty range too but at least has a solid combo and reliable lockdown stun , even kassishit has his infinity mobility going for him wtf is ahri good for

an easy ult to escape with.
Hard cc on a reasonable cooldown(it is not a slow, her e does not allow the person hit to cast spells or walk in any other direction).
Reliable damage and poke with her e q w in lane.

Ahri is fine as she is, she is pretty much safe pick. She has actually a lot of damage, if you hit charm.

She is a high mobility midlaner with solid damage and sustain for a better lane phase, her ult allows her to easily outmaneuver opponents and can act as a mobility, engage and disengage tool all at the same time because of the three charges.

Her kit actually has very good synergy with her W prioritizing anyone hit by her E or basic attacks in the last 3 seconds. Her E is long enough to last through the entire cast of her Q which deals true damage on return and can hit a target 3 times when used correctly Her E causes enemies to take 20% more damage off of her abilities for 5 second giving her some solid damage even after the charm ends.

Compared to other assassin-like/mobile casting midlaners, she has an overall better early game compared to champions like zed with better cooldowns meaning easier time harassing opposing laners.

Overall, Ahri is a very solid burst caster. Having both good mobility and high damage on her synergized abilities

She has a lot of mobility and sustain. Consistant damage with fairly low cooldowns in teamfights. Her E is one of the strongest CC abilities in mid lane.

She does well in most match ups and her E and R make it very hard to gank her.

Riot has pretty much kept her unchanged while buffing/nerfing everything else, so her burst damage feels a bit weaker than other champions. Especially if you compare it to S2, S3 where she could burst down tanks.

Ahri has pretty much everything. Mobility, burst, hard cc, true damage, sustain, waveclear, movespeed buff, damage amplifier. She's great into any matchup, has no direct hard counters.
