So play draft and ban him. /thread

Bans are currently being taken up by Fiora, Morde, Darius, Gangplank, Garen, Vayne. Yasuo gets to be the 7th least bs champ currently in the game. He's still complete utter bs how ever.

Wait hold on. Everyone. This post. This is the problem with the community. We have a list. A list of "bs" (not fun to play against) champs in the game. And yeah. Everyone is on the list. But some people like to go way farther down the list than others, and complain about someone who actually is mechanically challenging to play just because for 3 seconds he can stop and idiot throwing projectiles at a windwall that THEY SHOULD KNOW DEFLECTS THEM!!! If they are that stupid, thats on them not on the champ. Cmon guys. Really? Are we gonna move so far down the list of champs to complain about to finally get to "Yorick isn't fun to play against too op". People. This is the problem with the community. Stuff like this. And he is not "complete utter bs" (also however is one word). He is in a balanced state right now. I have probably over 200 yasuo games, and never have I felt "You know what, this feels way too cheesy". He is hard to master and played at higher elo's is extremely easy to counterpick against.

And I say it's true. 2vs1

6 champions out of 120+ is not a very big list. You are saying just because a champion isn't in the top 5% of broken champions then they must be balanced and without flaws.

If he was as mechanically demanding as you say then he wouldnt get so many complaints about how safe and hard to punish he is. A champion can not be both.

By extension by saying he is mechanically demanding you are saying he gets heavily punished by error. This isn't the case.

SymbolicFear4 votes

Okay, here is the thing... Yasuo is very mechanically demanding, he is a melee champion in a lane against mostly ranged champions with hard cc like Ahri's charm and Malzahar's ult. You can't say a champion doesn't take skill without first playing 50 games with that champion. That is how you find out if its skill, or if its just cause the champion is too easy.

That's how I find out personally.

KatCraft1 votes

Ranged champions are what Yasuo thrives against. He has a passive shield, wind wall, and a dash. I do play Yasuo, and it's actually easier to play him against a mage, than it is in top lane against bruisers and tanks. Mostly because his dash and windwall becomes much less relevant.

Windwall is instant cast, so you don't need very fast reflexes to block most skill shots in the game, especially Ahri's charm or Q. Any champion that is remotely skill shot reliant is going to be very, very easy for Yasuo to deal with. Mechanics required are minimal. For most midlaners you need to be able to juke skill shots, Yasuo just presses a button. And he even has a passive shield if he actually is too lazy to press the button which regenerates for free.

You mentioned Malzahar, and him including Annie are hard counters to Yasuo. But this isn't a matchup where mechanics actually matter all that much, it's that those champions are just going to point and click your ass and you die immediately. It has nothing to do with outplay. Using a bad matchup to prove a champion is hard to play in a vacuum isn't a good argument. Most matchups for him aren't like that.

There are two sides with very contradicting arguments, you can't have one side saying a champion is too safe and hard to punish and counter play, and the other side saying he is mechanically hard and difficult to play well, and both sides be right.

Verxint2 votes

He's squishy and relies on a fixed distance dash to dodge things.

He has to push to have lane presence

Early game most champs will destroy him if he mispositions

No innate way to restore hp

Shield can be easily countered

To be honest, if you think Yasuo is safe and doesn't get punished for mechanical error, you're doing something wrong.

KatCraft1 votes

passive shield negates being squishy as a weakness.

true he's weak to ganks but that comes down to how well the yas wards.

His early game is stronger than most champions actually. His levels 1 -2 -3 beats most mid laners.

uhhhh how many champs do.

I assume you mean walk into auto attack range of yasuo. Not exactly hard for yasuo to work around.

I play Yasuo. I am speaking from experience from playing the champion.

learn yas. play yas. ban yas. counter yas.

This guy speaks the truth. Fuck your drama of leaving due to a champion.

If you don't like it, then leave. There's the door.

Yasuo's always been sleeper-op by able hands...Only natural some LC$ player would pick him up and whip his schlong out. No idea why the forum about 1-3 months ago continually insisted he was weak. All projectile ults? Deleted by a basic ability. 1v1 against the melee adc or an assassin? He wins cause 100% crit chance and shield for some seconds (unless ofc he's outplayed/cced by other means)...and/or armorpen with a high damage ratio ult if necessary. Ranged adc? Lol gl against WW.

I read somewhere a long time ago that Yasuo was gonna get -50% crit damage..Saw that it was only -10% and got somewhat disappointed cause that means he barely got hit. The flow nerf was decent.

Er, why the hell would any decen adc 1v1 a yasuo in the first place? "Boo hoo, I, a squishy adc can't beat an assassin alone, nerf pls"

Then don't.

Deep Terror Nami1 votes

I only find him ban worthy because he counters literally everything Nami does with Windwall, and even when it's down he's incredibly difficult to hit with Aqua Prison; about the only time I can hit him is when he is ulting my friends :(

Facing the same champ over and over it's annoying yes,but cancer+plus popular=wombo combo/:your team tears= salt

Me either buddy. That's why I ban him every game.

Grab Kayle with Exhaust instead of Ignite and, pardon the direct term: Fuck him up real good.

There ya go. No more dodging games.

Daedalus8711 votes

I don't want him on my team or theirs.

On their team, he is super frustrating to play against.

On my team, he makes it so I have to pick a champion with a reliable knockup or it will essentially be a 4v5.

ShaftyMegee1 votes

Then stop playing?

BlunterMonk1 votes

git gud scrub

Karn Bishop1 votes

Honestly if they recoded it so windwall couldnt block things like blitz pull, and other abilitys that involve the actual champions body parts he would be less frustrating to play against.

Alternatively if riot didn't keep his main counter permanently crippled that would be nice too. Kayle

Just deny him yknow? Try to get him behind so he can't roam. Happened to me where I played Ahri against him and I freaked because I'm a support main and yea. I played so safely he ulted me under tower with nearly full health. Then charmed him and he dedded. XD Most Yas mains have short tempers so as long as you deny them as much as possible they'll lose it My Yas rage quit it was great

He isn't op, but it wouldn't hurt to reduce his ms by 5 or 10 points.

Midder Scray1 votes

Then don't play.

People like you who complain about every little thing and bitch about how you think a champion's OP/broken/unbalanced and they should be nerfed or removed just because you don't know how to play against them are the people that make me want to not play this game either

KANYE OBAMA GOD1 votes

Why does a single champion that isn't even in every game make you want to stop playing the game? I mean, I know exactly how you feel because almost everybody has that one champ that they think is cancer. For me, I play a lot of Yasuo so I know how to beat him pretty easily so it's not him. For me the one champ I hate with a burning passion is Cho'gath, right next to Lux. But they don't make me want to quit. Sure I'll rage and get really butt hurt for losing to them cause I just really hate them but you can still play around them. Lux is easy to beat, dodge Q and then engage while it's still on CD, ult can be dodged pretty easily, stuff like that. Cho is the same way, don't get chained CC and hit by his whole combo. Yasuo may be a bit more oppressive because his CD's are low but that's why we have draft pick. Yasuo is so easy to counterpick it's not even funny. I say you should buy Yasuo though and play him a lot. That's what I did with Riven and Rengar too so I could learn how to beat them. Now they're some of my favorite champions because it's easy to take advantage of people's lack of knowledge of them in lower ELOs since people are too lazy to actually learn how to play against them.

I treat Yasuo like i treat blitzcrank. Ban or dodge.

Then don't play the game. You can ban Yasuo, play him yourself, or counter him to avoid unpleasant matches against him.

Yes, Yasuo is often annoying to deal with for ADCs and skill shot reliant mages. However, he is actually one of the easiest champions to counter. Almost every bruiser, assassin, and 1/3 of the mages counter him. It isn't rocket science to buy a Randuin's Omen against a guy who crits 100% of the time.

Frankly if you have trouble with Yasuo, and by a miracle he gets disabled for a short while, you will just encounter another champion that you struggle with.
