Wanting to get another support champ to finish up my collection (Nami and Vel'Koz remaining) I only have 23 champs left to go total and noticed Viktor. I've played him a couple times, he's a really solid mage but has anyone tried him bot lane? It just seems like he has solid poke and he has some tools to help him peel and disengage.

Final Spark Lux1 votesEvery champ has been tried in every role, so yes, people have tried him bot. It's just like any other mage support. His stun isn't super reliable, but it can be done. It just depends on the matchup, like every other game

While he is good in theory (due to having that upgraded stun-zone), he requires a bunch of items and a bunch of time to actively become useful (as without rylai's/hexcore upgrades he's ridiculously useless botlane). Thus, he's a lot like janna in the sense that he's incredibly snowball-ey and doesn't do anything to help team comps when behind.

you'll miss out on a support item, and he doesn't have that many tools to peel without his ultimate. Doesn't seem like the best idea since his stun/slow isn't that good but u can if u want

Ad Vitam Aeterna1 votesHis poke as support is total garbage. He relies very much on items and as a support his low damage + high mana costs make him an aweful support. If you want an AP sup go Annie, she's WAY better.
