This game takes no skill anymore

Cooldowns are next to nothing on every champion. Every champion has pretty much 40% CDR every game. So it comes down to who is using the champions with more bullshit abilities they can use more frequently then they should. Champions might have weaknesses and outplay potential if CDR wasn’t abused by pretty much every champion. It feels like URF 24/7. X champion is weak when he uses Y ability but said ability is back up less than ten seconds later.

Trading in lane is basically non existent. I can’t even play top lane anymore because I get counter picked and tilt the whole game because I can’t do anything against any lane bully because they basically one shot me because damage is so damn high.

Damage being so high means laning skill is less impactful than ever. Who cares how hard you smash a lux if she is going to still do 1500 damage a combo or some shit? If I time my back properly and outplay my laner what does it matter if he can still solo kill me without items?

JG is broken. It’s the only lane that can fuck up everyone’s day. Whether it’s your team or the enemies. I could go back to damage and CDR being the cause of this but I am going to look at ganking effectiveness for JG pool champs. Zac flies across the whole map, Eve is invisible with a charm that’s basically unmissable, Khazix is invisible, Lee Sin ward hops and has insane mobility and outplay potential while doing stupid damage, Jarvan has EQ, Gragas has E and Ult, etc. The list goes on and on. As someone playing the game, it’s ridiculous how easy JG can be effective in a game.

Last thing I want to write about is the champions. Each champion has their own niche, which is cool but it’s simply not balanced or fun to play against when these champs don’t have clear weaknesses. Once again, damage and CDR are a factor because it’s a huge problem I personally have with this game nowadays. Champions weaknesses are just covered up by things to make them better. Yasuo for example has a windwall to counter any poke he may take, but once it’s on cool down you have to deal with his passive shield as well. So a clear weakness for a melee champion mid would be having to deal with poke, Yasuo doesn’t necessarily have that problem. I feel like a lot of champions nowadays have something in their kit or with items(something I don’t want to get into) that negate a certain weakness they should have.

Anyways in conclusion, damage is to high, bring back trading which in turn will lead to better games and not getting steamrolled, CDR is rampant and needs to be toned down a lot, JG is just a toxic role, and champions need clearer weaknesses.

All of these things lead to less skill being needed to play this game.

Ok...... So, let me make a few comments here. I will keep them fairly shorter, but there is always questions and people wont read it all even if i do.

Cooldowns have always been a thing, and has always been found out how to get it weaved into the kit. It is ever present and has always been that way. I do remember when trying to stack the stats was the "way to go" but then i realized how much better things felt when I did get some CDR. The only champions who do not exclusively need cdr are marksmen. They "abuse" attack speed items then by your sense, same as Yasuo.

Trading in lanes is still there when there is not an obvious skill gap. It is less about the champion, and more about them knowing how to take advantage of the weaknesses in your champion early/while playing around various powerspikes. Game knowledge plays a major part in this.

Damage is high because they had taken out some major resistances from previous seasons, the damage itself isnt actually that much different.... just the tankier stats at the start is mostly being gone. Notice how when the 20 armor or mr was introduced it helps a lot?

jungle is not broken. It is objective based and therefore requires some thinking of how to move around the map and at what times etc. Good junglers are crazy as hell at being able to know where everyone is at any given point in time roughly. At least have a good idea of where they might be going. Wards help a lot with that too. Just because the majority of people IGNORE objectives in every other lane, does not mean jungle is broken because they focus them. Also they can be very predictable. You can often hear people complain that "if they were better they would be losing right now" due to the paths that is normally taken.

Each champion has various skill caps and ways to win and lose depending on how things go in various parts of the game. To explain exactly what that means, would take a looooooooong time to do. So i will keep it summed up like that.
