PSA: You can change the game and how Riot balances things.

In regards to Morde, while it WAS severe imbalance on Riot's part, the community backlash to a different botlane than ADC+Supp duo (or swapping in extremely high ELOs) was EXTREME and is the SOLE CAUSE of the ADC+Supp bot lane being the only way. The community is the reason for most of the things Riot does, and then you wonder why Riot does certain things.

Zed and Lee not getting nerfs? If they do, the community would literally go to Riot HQ and murder the balance department. Riot themselves has stated that they're SCARED to touch Lee because of the community. The community LOVES Lee, as does Riot, but Riot WANTS to balance him but CAN'T because of the community loving him too much. Boards isn't all the community, btw, it's a small portion.

Non-Ranged ADC's bot lane? They tried that and they got SEVERE backlash for both the idea and the champ, when only one was justified (the latter, for any trolls).

The SOLE reason the META is so strict in League compared to DotA 2 (which is the closest thing to League) is the community's reaction to change and new things. DotA 2 embraces it, and LOVES it. League says anything that isn't what they're used to is garbage and if they can't handle something (Zed...) they call it OP and then proceed to flame 24/7 about it.

I WANT to see League progress, I WANT to see League's meta shift into something more fluid like DotA's, but at this rate, unless the community stops being a bunch of old white people who hate change, this won't happen.

Lastly, if you guys want to change shit about the game, you gotta change the attitude of the community, which IS possible and starts with you. And this is what I'm trying to do, probably poorly, with this thread.

You're wrong. I play off-meta stuff all the time and tend to get supported by my amused teammates. People only get angry if you try it in a ranked game and feed all game, in my experience at least.

So very wrong. Riot is the exact opposite of the rigid corporation you suggest. In fact you would find way more evidence to support the fact that Riot does not listen to its community.

First everyone's opinion of Zed and Lee sin is completely subjective to their personal opinions. Clearly you think they are OP and a lot of lower skilled players certainly think so. I won't bother adding my own personal opinions on each of them, but no Riot does not act the way you suggest at all.
