New Season

I post about this every season. I understand that most people will fall back in the rankings, because that's just how it works. Still, I finished silver 5 last season. That probably means Ill be bronze 5 or at least low bronze after my placements. I really wish lower elos could just opt out of placements and accept bronze 5. Like, these ten games that Im about to play hardly matter. I want to treat them like normals, but then Ill tilt others and ruin my mmr... I hate to see bronze 5 on my account, and am very confident I will climb. I have to play these ten games first though, which is really lame. Next season, can you make an option to opt out of placements and just take b5?

You wont get b5, most like b3 or b2 unless you do terrible in your placement games. If you ended Silver 5 but get placed in Bronze the game will compensate you by giving you a higher then average MMR for your elo to give you an incentive to climb

The thing is bronze games are pretty random. I'm certainly not great at the game, but I play with my friends who are higher ranks and tend to do fine against better opponents. I'm not good enough though to carry against all odds. Bronze is basically two little kids running at eachother head first to see who falls down. Beyond everything else, Im picking up sloppy habits.
