Can we ban more than accounts already?

Player says: idc this acc, im afk. This shouldn't be going on in ranked. They don't give a crap and people who only have one account, or are on their main account are losing games because of people like this. I really wish there was a way to ban their computer, and not an account which is essentially useless.

It is possible to ban by IP, it's just a shitty way to treat some people because it will block more than just the person that was targeted, and people can get around it anyway.

A technical explanation for any who may disbelieve:

IP is worthless because many WiFi networks only expose one external IP (i.e. all computers on the network look like the same computer to the Internet).
MAC address isn't useful because again, the Internet only sees the MAC address of your router.
Further, blocking computers by any means doesn't help because a League account isn't tied to a computer. It's all kept online and you can go play on your friend's computer right now using your account. It also punishes people who try to play on a blocked computer (e.g. what if I happened to buy a used laptop that was blocked).
Finally, even blocking email addresses doesn't solve anything, because creating a smurf email is trivial.

You can't ban anything more than the account, as anything higher can lead to splash damage. What Riot can, and has done, is hunt down their alt accounts and permaban them with the main account that was banned to begin with. Refer to old GD archives for when Wookiecookie utterly rekt someone trying to get around the bans with alt accounts.

But you have some people who also play on their friends' account and troll on it as well. Oh why must trolls exist?

Users are held accountable for actions on their account. If a troll is using another persons account, Riot can and will shut the account permanently through the account compromised stipulation.

That doesn't help the problem of getting rid of "idc not my account, trolling.", which is what I was getting at with my reply to you about Riot banning alt accounts and such.

totally is. Use unique identifiers. whenever you start the client, bam, uuid is made. The account that uses it, is logged and the ip. Any one who uses that same client, gets that uuid. if they delete it, when that account logs on/ or that ip logs on, make a new uuid, and repeat.
