HOW TO COUNTER AKALI:
so she can't shroud and run awayYep, it's mostly a support's job. (Other people should pitch in, too.) If the enemy team has picked Akali, a good disengage support will do a lot to counter her. Janna works really well (especially if you're a Tornado God who can make Akali waste one of her dashes), Nami probably works really well, too, Lulu and Zilean auto-counter any assassin ("Oh, you jumped on my ADC? Ult!"), and I guess Sona and Soraka might work OK with their heals and silences etc.
Or you could just ask your ADC to play Graves, who actually likes being an in-your-face ADC. Mid might want to pick either another assassin or something that stomps on her lane phase (Lux, Syndra). (Pseudo)tanky picks like Ryze, Kayle and Lulu also work.
Sometimes, all your abilities being skillshots is a good thing
Basically your whole team has some kind of AOE CC and judging by her build she wasn't that great. started off nice with the hextech, but she went for WOTA and I don't know what she was thinking from there, Akali relies on her passive and damage to make her hard to kill with all the spellvamp.
Yeah that build was terrible. WotA and Rylai's are inefficient opposed to Gunblade, Randuin's, Lich Bane, GA.
the answer to lane akali is riven, FYI
same with lane katarina. just play riven.
Wow, that Akali couldn't build for shit. I know what Akali's optimal build path is and I've never even played her, I've just laned against her enough times and seen what they build. Anyone who tries to make an assassin tanky before they do good damage shouldn't play assassins.
EDIT: You and Udyr seem to have pretty much carried everyone on your team. Nice job, by the way.
there's only one way....... THE MESSIAH HAS RETURNED
Yeah. After you build specific counter-items. Have hard CC/disengage devoted to her and only her. You only move in groups and never without vision. You devote your team strategy to focusing and deleting her asap.
Unfortunately every tactic that can be used on another assassin/mid-laner is generally less effective on her.
I know that pushing the wave to deny her CS is a good idea, but that's very risky to do in the first place, and she can deny you tower-dives with her stealth and follow up on ganks relatively easily with her gap-closers.
BTW, this can hardly be used for an argument, she was not building correctly at all.
