Heimerdinger Mid Strategy and Build (I use it every Heim!)

Heimerdinger Hey people, here's a quick and easy guide to playing as Heimerdinger. I myself LOVE playing him and have for over a year. I win over 75% of my games as Heimey Weimey.

  1. Invest everything in the utility tree. EVERYTHING. Three must-haves are Biscuiteer, Wealth, and Vampirism.

  2. Have the spells Heal summoner 7 and Flash summoner 4 . They are extremely useful.

  3. Make sure you take Mid Lane! That's what this guide is for.

  4. When the game starts, you must be fast in purchasing items. Quickly grab Doran's Ring item 1056 and three healing potionsitem 2003 that will turn into Total Biscuits of Rejuvination item 2010 . (Step 1 is req'd for this).

5.) Pick Heimer's Q spell (Turrets). They are OP.

6.) Get to mid as fast as possible, without using flash. That's just dumb. Once there, place all three of his turrets in very specific locations, all on the edge of each other's ranges. Place one a little more than halfway through mid lane, the other to the left and back a bit, and the other to the right and back a bit. This is essential for getting a gold and EXP head-start. Don't stray far outside of the range of your turrets, as it makes you extremely vulnerable.

7.) Prioritize the picking of your spells in this order: RQWE. There is, however an exception. Get Q W and E as fast as you can. once you have all three, use the given order.

8.) ITEMS!!! Here is the order you should DEFINITELY buy them in: Morellonomicon (TWO OF THEM!!!!!!!!!) item 3165 Rabadon's Deathcap item 3089 DeathFire Grasp item 3128 Rylai's Crystal Scepter item 3116 (DeathFire and Rylai can be switched in some situations.)

Beyond this point it doesn't really matter what you buy, as long as it fits the current game's needs ALWAYS focus on Ability Power items. Spell vamp may be useful later on, as well. Also, until about level 10, always keep a healing potion handy.

9.) No matter what people tell you, be confident in your turrets. They are OP killing machines, and late in the game as long as you have all 3 of them by your side you can 2v1 anyone, if you are not being seriously outplayed. An extremely fed Heimerdinger can win a 5v1 fight if played well and an ulti is available for use.

10.) Develop your own mini-strategies after getting to know the character. Heimerdinger has loads of untapped potential.

This concludes the main steps, but here are some other tips and tricks.

When attacked by a melee character who does craploads of damage, don't be afraid to stun him (Using your E ability) and then flash to the other side of a wall of turrets. Chances are a kill will ensue, or at least some extreme damage. MasterYi Master Yi can also be a pest. His Q might take out all of your turrets, leaving you vulnerable. Always try to keep 2 or so in store, AND WAIT FOR HIM TO FINISH HIS Q ATTACK BEFORE DEPLOYING AN ULTI. Ahri Ahri is a pain in the rear as well. The only advice I can give is let her make the mistakes. Don't try to go on the offensive unless you're sure you can win the fight. In the beginning, she is very good against Heimerdinger. Yasuo Yasuo's wall of wind will block ALL abilities except for Q and RQ.

Heimer is an excellent ganker. An E(RW)QW combination is extremely effective. Heimer becomes unbelievably powerful at level 18 with Warmog's Armor item 3083. His already frikken OP health regen is drastically increased with this addition, and you don't need to make those annoying recalls anymore. If his base regen is about 8, and he has Warmog (+8 to 12), healing potion (+10) and Baron (+10) then his health regen comes out to FORTY!!! (This has happened to me before)

Heimer's three Ulti's are extremely useful in different situations. In a team fight, I recommend RQ or possibly RE. Against one player, RW is undoubtedly the best. It unleashes TONS of damage that makes the difference between life and death in some situations.

READ THIS ESPECIALLY: Team turrets will target Heimer's turrets over him!!! Use this to make great escapes where the enemy thought you were a goner. His turrets can also target team turrets, they just don't do quite as much damage. HEIMER'S TURRETS TARGET WHOEVER YOU HAVE TARGETED. USE THIS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. However, IF A HEIMER TURRET SHOOTS AN ENEMY CHAMPION AND YOU ARE WITHIN RANGE OF AN ENEMY TURRET, IT WILL TARGET YOU.

Thank you for reading! I hope this was useful. I want to increase awareness for the Heimer's Excellently Interesting Magic Organization, or HEIMO. :P I spent a long time on this, so I hope it was worth it! Feel free to point anything out that I could work on or fix. :)

Heimerdinger you are so excited about this... I really hope you're just trolling.

First off, never buy 2 of an item with unique passives. AKA item 3165.

item 3128 isn't bad on heimer, but i'd argue that item 3157 is infinitely better, so much to be a core item imo.

item 3083 serves almost no purpose for heimer, as you shouldn't need high hp5 in fights, if you do it means you are out of position.

I can see so much wrong with this, and I neither own Heimerdinger nor play as him.
