Heimer IS VIABLE IN RANKED!

Just gonna let everyone know that no matter what people say, The Big Donger is extremely viable in ranked, in both teams and solo queue. I will go on to provide three reasons/examples why.

1.) Turret damage is frikken overpowered. They have 1.75 attack speed and damage that really hurts. Combining a E W Q combo can take out half of an opponent's health.

2.) The ult is sweet. What other champion has a choice of THREE ULTIMATES that they can use? He can use his ult to get out just about any situation, and in ganks he nearly always gets a double.

3.) Heisendong. A challenger player who ONLY plays heimerdinger. Look up his LolKing. Also, if you go to champion.gg you'll see that heimer's toplane winrate in Plat+ is higher than that of any other champion.

Finally, to prove he's good across all elo, look me up too. http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/50773610 I climbed from bronze 3 to silver 3 using heimer (plus a teensy tiny bit of Yi, but we don't speak of those dark days).

However, this last message I give to all players who want to dong their way up in ranked is quite controversial: HEIMERDINGER IS NOT A NO-SKILL CHAMPION. There is DEFINITELY a complex strategy to the donger that honestly takes a loooong time to master. Most Bronze V noobs will just tell you "Heimer=noskill nub, just place turrets and win." That's why they're in bronze V. Ask Heisendong in his twitch.tv stream whether heimer requires skill.

Okay so based on what do you say his damage is OP? comparison, source? Let's compare to azir, ok?

Give me the source that tells you his turrets have 2.5 attack speed or prove it.

If the turrets don't even survive for 3 seconds in a teamfight what good do they do?

Just because he has a good ult doesn't make his kit good Based on what does he nearly always get a double, your personal experience isn't a good reference, I'm sorry.

Last four games he has played he lost 3 out of 4. (small number though so not a good data set) Keep the current patches in mind and don't look at what happened 10 or 20 patches ago.

As for the Plat+ please give me the source you used. How many games was he picked toplane, which were his lane opponents. If he's picked less than 1 or 0.5% percent than it doesn't mean shit that he has the highest win ratio. If just one game is played with any champion in a position he is never picked and he happens to win the game the winration will be a 100%.

Yeah that basically doesn't prove a thing, in bronze and silver MOST (not all) opponents have no idea at all how to play against heimer.

I love the Donger and I'm not saying he's completely unviable but I am saying that he needs some love and help to become he good option to pick.

Whole heartedly agree with you! Raising my dongers!

However a word of caution. Make sure he goes well with your teams comp first too. He doesn't compliment extremely divey teams because of the siege mentality of his kit.

I actually agree with you in a sense...but bronze to silver is not ranked. Anything is viable there, they are 90% trash picks like talon and 10% people who play leblanc and finish the game with 40 cs lol. But Heisendong is a really good player, the level at which he plays heimer doesnt really translate over to less experienced players, so to those players he really ISNT good or viable. you can play 500 heimer games and eventually you might reach gold 5 (lol), but that doesnt mean heimer is good, you just got better at the game. Success with heimer requires knowledge on the map, objectives, rotating, planning well with turrets itemizing well etc. etc. You get all that down and you can use him in even high level play. But he's by no means a good champion to get people through ranked divisions based off the champion alone.

I agree with you. Anybody who is skeptical should check out Heisendong ( NA ) because that man's become surprisingly great at playing Heimer in ANY role ( even ADC ) on a challenger-rank ( Yes, he is challenger ) level. He's been top 10 win-rate in solo queue for like longer than I care to remember, nobody plays him cuz he's boring and nobody likes him because he's not a team champion.

Don't give these people any ideas! I seriously hate fighting this little bastard in lane! It's always a catch-22 with him in lane, you either burn mana to hurt the rat, or you burn mana to kill turrets so that you aren't farming under tower all game. It's just so freaking annoying how his main damage ability costs him NOTHING. Everything else I'm fine with.

There's a question to his viability? He's borderline broken and overpowered. His winrates are pretty high.

i use heimer a lot in ranked (im bronze trash i deal with it with severe medications....ive accepted the fact im trash no need to flame me) and i know that he is very viable in bronze since most like to chase the little guy forever. turret dancing usually gets me kills....and many many team chat "ROFL's!!! Did you see this guy hahahahahaha!!!" every single time I run around in circles as the enemy is just getting plucked away with my BB guns. I don't even run a Zhonya's in my build either so I do die alot but I like my way better. I tend to go for a Liandry's (the DOT from W/E damage catches them off guard and offsets any potion use) and anything with Move speed+AP together for those hairy situations where you actually do need to run away and reset your turrets in a safer location. Heimer excels at pushing lanes and being a huge distraction for the enemy team. my favorite thing to do is go top with him and push a turret down by aggressive play then TP mid and do the same and by that time Bot should have theirs pushed in then I pretty much stay out of team fights and focus on pushing the top/bot lanes (simple every day strategy that seems to be mostly forgotten or unknown in Bronze) while muting my team for complaining that im not in mid lane with them. The real fun begins when I'm 2-4 levels ahead of both my own team and the enemy then I start just chasing people down and making my Heimy look like a tempting target then dropping the full arsenal down on them while they spam "Play a skill champ you troll" in /all chat while they wait to respawn. Normally I'm around 100 cs or more than the 2nd best in the game (not just my team) then I focus on turret destruction while my team happily rejoices in victory saying how well they did going 9-8-2 or some BS KDA while ignoring the fact that while I may have only been 2-3-2 or something I was the reason we won due to lane pressure. But hey a win is a win even if the team thinks I trolled the whole game.

Well,of course, can take good care of himself even without much help from his team. Baits,baits and more baits,that is what heimerdinger is all about. The hardest part to master with heimerdinger is making yourself usefull when dealing with long ranged opponents who know that they have to focus your turrerts first and THEN you in order to defeat you.If you don't know how to PUNISH THEM WITH YOUR W FOR DOING SO then you will have a hard time,not even mentioning opponents with tons of aoe(I am looking at you Malzahar , Annie and Xerath ). Also learn your positioning,it will help ALOT.And don't forget to practice with EVERY single part of your kit(yes, even your R+E version of your ult). Good luck and always RAISE YOUR DONGERS!!!

You FIRST objective claim (second sentence of point 1, '2.5 AS') is just plain false. Like, easily verifiably, blatantly, 'you'd have to be either imbecilic or intentionally lying to try to pass this off as a fact' FALSE.

And if you can't get something THAT simple right without resorting to lies, why should I put any weight in anything else you might have to say?
