Crazy idea: Let's punish the people that actually troll matches and not just the ones that talk shit

MkShenGreatAgain·2/26/2018, 7:37:29 AM·26 votes·1,875 views

First match in a while coming back, and just had a Brand support who:

-Banned my jungler's pick choice -Intentionally gave their bot lane 6 kills while I hopelessly tried to farm -Wandered the match handing the other laners kills -Sat in base for 5 minutes just talking in chat

Yet if I get upset about it because I actually wanna play I'm the one who gets punished? Riot, you do know it's no secret that you have by far the most toxic community in gaming right?

Coming back to this game after not playing for a while was a mistake, the punishment system's an absolute joke.

I understand banning some of the intense racial slur people. But you can get banned for saying "big dumb poopie head, wait no I'm sorry"

But you frequently going 0/11/0? Just a bad game man.

you have riot lyte to thank for that

That sucks dude, but when people do shit like that they're doing it for attention. If you rage at them then you're not only giving them what they want, but you're also basically showing them that if they continue to troll then they will get more of the attention that they want. This feeds the behavior and makes them do it more.

Raging at a teammate or will only ever make the situation worse. There is no positive outcome to be had. Even that personal catharsis is offset by harming 3 other innocent players' fun with the negativity.

i love how people still think to this day that because someone else is doing something that they shouldn't be doing that somehow that makes it ok when they also do something they shouldn't be doing. You see someone doing this type of things? you report them and move on. Do not start complaining to them, all you are doing is creating an even bigger negative environment for your team. The last thing the rest of your team needs or wants is have someone bitch and moan about someone else. Stop, you are not helping or doing anything productive by doing that. You aren't doing anything positive by doing that. You aren't even doing something neutral by doing that. Stop, just stop. Report them and move on. Simple as that.

Cuck ass punishment system if you ask me.

ReySolomon2/27/2018, 12:34:29 AM3 votes

People flame because of how much people can Feed it's unbelievable sometime it's not because ''oh you flame for no reason'' no there's always a reason..

I would understand if my top laner picks nasus and then they pick darius but even good nasus comeback from that lane easily.

I say punish both.

If I had a player like that, I would be upset no doubt, I may even say a few things, but more often than not I just report at the end of the game. Typing anything in that situation nearly always makes the situation worse.

People that troll matches should be punished far more severely (and swiftly) than those that simply type abusive things to their teammates. I'm not saying that either is appropriate, don't get me wrong, but I can mute a toxic player, I cannot mute someone that intentionally feeds, AFKs, griefs or otherwise choses to not participate.

That's not trolling that's just players being assholes to be spiteful. Please guys, stop misusing the word troll :(

hhaavviikk2/27/2018, 7:17:27 AM2 votes

explain to me how raging at them solves this situation

Feel Apathy2/26/2018, 7:56:26 PM2 votes

If you all reported him for his behavior he would be instantly punished by the system with a 14 day suspension.

That is if he was indeed just handed kills everywhere, was under-leveled and sat in base chatting instead of playing.

Source: Had a game with a janna that went 0-9 sat in base and moved around to avoid the "afk check" - She was lvl 5 at the end, while everyone else was 10+ and was suspended immediately for 14 days afterwards.

Just saying, no one's entitled to their preferred picks. For example, I'm not going to allow a top tier pick to go unbanned because 4th player wants it and nobody's trading.
