Annie's Q

Avios1··3 votes·369 views

I am surprised nobody mentioned this, and sorry about how Serious I am about when I post forums, but Annie Q refreshes the same amount of mana it had costed and it has such a low cooldown that she can just build up her stun for free, farm freely, and harass very easily, besides, here Abilities scale too easily for my tastes. Please, Rito, I beg you to fix Annie, it is time to decide for the Dark Child.

I looked you up. As expected you don't play Annie; so naturally you only see her "pros".

Annie has been at a steady 50% win rate for years. IMO she is one of the most balanced champions in LoL. The ONLY reason she remains competitive in lane is because of her Q. Nerf that and she is unplayable for a variety of reasons:

  1. Her attack damage and speed are pitifully low. She cannot farm without Q, even challenger players almost exclusively farm with her Q.
  2. She has one of (if not THE) lowest movement speeds in the game
  3. She has pathetic spell cast range

Point is: She can get out-poked easily by a majority of mid lane mages. Without her farming strength (Q) she will have nothing - she can't farm OR poke.

I guess I should have remembered to put this in, but I was gonna suggest her Q to refresh only 50% or 75% of the mana cost, not 100%, but that is what I believe would be alright.

As an avid Annie player, all of this is very correct. She is really only useful in low ranks because of these and let's be honest, no one seems to know how to stop a massive AoE stun in low ranks.

Always remember: before claiming that someone is too strong or weak, based on your own perspective, always see how they perform elsewhere. Just because someone trashes your games doesn't mean they're actually strong. And just because someone gets wrecked in your games doesn't mean they're actually weak. You have to look at their performance across multiple levels of play (though the top level is most important in many cases), ideally in multiple regions, to get a feel for balance.
