Taliyah's vector casting feels extremely weird

You're correct. The old way was better.

It was the lockout that was the problem. Not the casting mechanism.

I personally hated the way it was originally designed because it made her feel clunky. I gladly welcome vector casting.

I personally think it's better but since Taliyah has been out for awhile, the transition from one way of executing it to another will take time to get used to.

Thanks for input guys, I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this was weird. I hope Riot will at the very least give us an option to switch back to the old casting. It's not very often I take back what I say when dealing with Riot, but I definitely like the old casting method more, despite the hard time i (internally) gave it when I first tried it out.

There are lots of issues with how her W works now compared to before. The old casting was definitely superior and I think the main issue most people(myself not included) had with her kit was the lockout. I hope Riot starts a discussion thread about this. At the very least make it optional whether or not you want the old double tap or vector casting.

Yeah, the lockout was the one thing that needed to be fixed. The old W also gives it an Earthbender feel where you command the ground to rise and then optionally making it go into a direction.

I started maining Taliyah a few weeks ago and i was so happy with this champion.. now this change seriously makes me want to dump Taliyah forever. I never EVER got used to Viktor's e for example, and now they just destroyed all the fun with Taliyah for me. I seriously hope that Riot considers making the old W atleast an option to toggle on/off. I dont think its much effort to satisfy both groups of people by having and option, instead of shoving into our throats wether we want it or not.
