Let's start from season 2 and tell TenCent to bugger off.
Ah the glorious season 2 days, the best thing was the community. We would help each other, give advice, and most importantly have fun and reduce stress. Did you know that when we played a normal game, it was to reduce stress and have fun, even trolling was promoted the fun kind that is. I know right? The word fun actually was known and promoted. WE LIVED BY THAT AND MAN OH MAN IT WAS GREAT!!! Normals was meant to try new things, It was meant to go crazy, normals was League of Legends version of just partying. Best of all normals was suppose to train you. Everyone knew that bots wasn't enough. You had to learn how to use your champion vs someone. AND learn how to fight their champion. Where did we learn? In normals damn it! And if anyone ever give shit to anyone else because they were not try harding in normals, WE ATE THEM OUT! It's just normals, yeah I said It! We kept that try hard shit in ranked where it belonged. Stop stressing our break out!
Now I see a lot of new fuckers going "TRYHARD IN NORMALS! IT'S MORE THAN JUST A GAME!!!" GEE I wonder why everyone is freaking out and fucking stressed to the bones. Maybe it's because normals are no longer promoted for fun and reducing stress. You know actual real training, learning, growing, and once again most importantly having fun. LIKE IT IS MEANT TO!!! What's the point in normals then? Just remove it and just leave ranked then if it's always serious and try hard.
As for on the game we has top lane carries. Bruisers and Tanks they were called. Even then not all bruisers were considered carries. Jax, Olaf, Poppy, Nasus (I get into a lot of arguments over Nasus) were carries. Ones like Garen were not. Malphite and Maokai were Tanks designed to carry. Shen was a Tank not designed to carry and had to end the game early. Sejuani and Amumu were tank junglers that were meant to carry. Zac was designed as a tank jungler end the game early. Everyone was different, no one was really the same. Top lane also had better itemization. Even though it was the meta golem, it made champions scary late game.
Mid lane was more than about roaming bot. Roaming bot was a strategy but you could counter it by picking a Pusher champ. The roamer went bottom or top and got kills? That's okay, I'm Mordekaiser, and I'm noming the turret, nom nom. Losing Mid turret early was devastating due to early jungle control Mid lane had so many options and so many champions to choose from. Now it is just roam bot and win.
CDR and damage wasn't everywhere. So you had to use your abilities and target the right target very wisely. You had to be aware and time your opponents movements. "Okay so top lane is still top, I can't use my ultimate though since it's cooldown is long." Now it's just fire at will, basically it's Urf right now.
Now the downsides to season 2 was the bot side problem. Trinity marksmen being that there were only 3 really viable Marksmen, and 3 back up ones in case 2 or 3 of those were banned. Mostly it was Ezreal, Graves, and Corki since they all had a dash and countered each other. Graves > Ezreal > Corki > Graves. Supports items sucked, they really did. Their items were basically an item called Shurelia's Revelry(old coin of Ascension with hit points and mana), Mobility boots, and wards, LOTS AND LOTS OF WARDS!!! They were known as ward bots 10000. The other issues were some champions outliers like Jax with infinite dodges. The solution to him was simple though, just ban him. Literally, then he was fixed and balanced then became fun to fight. But I would rather face this new Abomination Cho'gath 10x then face old Jax once.
There was more to note but in the end Season 2 was glorious!
lets start from
xD
They just need to pull a Final Fantasy 14 and everything should work out great, destroy everything and rebuild from the ground up.
Wow been awhile since i've seen that. I miss 97.
