@Ghostcrawler, Greg you are a great guy and a shit manager.

You listen to the wrong people. You put them in the wrong places, you let them push the wrong ideas and prioritize the wrong things. When you are in charge of a team people who, "stick to their guns" drive games into the ground while the people who learn from their mistakes leave the company.

The effects on gameplay in WoW were massive and accelerated the decline of the game. Under your watch the wrong decisions were made time and time again.

LoL is not yet wholly ruined under your leadership. But it is time to SERIOUSLY look at your team and their priorities. Lets look at all the big systems changes made purely for the benefit of pro play that had a negative effect on regular league.

Towers are permanently nerfed? Pro play! First Blood on towers? Pro play! Bot lane tower being absolute trash? Pro play! EZ mode Baron? Pro play! OP Baron buff? Pro play! Rift Scuttle changes? I am 99% sure pro play was a factor in that decision as well. If people don't want to watch 10 geeks play whatever wins, no matter how boring, so be it.

Focus on what made the game good BEFORE you joined the team in 2014. You are running adds for new players promoting this as a game with 35-45 min epic games. But reality is way too many games are decided by 10 mins. Stop pushing PC Bang culture on a game that was fundamentally designed to be 35-45 mins long.

Scrap the crap and go make a different MOBA if you want 15-20 min games.

  1. You have no idea what his management style is.
  2. You have no idea if that's the singular reason why changes you don't like are being implamented.
  3. Have you ever had a bad manager?
  4. What would you say your world experience looks like?

I think it says something that if Wow Classic and Battle for Azeroth released on the same day the new WoW expansion would literally be DOA.

Thats basically the same thing here now, people LONG for the pre-ghostcrawler era, if a client for this game droped for metagolem s2, or s4 the current product would be abandoned over-night, and rightly so.

You guys tried real hard to pull for "it won't be that bad" but every people who ever played wow knew that the second Ghostcrawler arrived here it was only a matter of time.

You let yourselves be deceivedShaco .

It's not just one person you know that right? It's a team of people that make changes to the game. You can't just blame Ghostcrawler. Also you're in silver 3. What do you know about this game? Nothing. You know nothing of balance or what decisions go into balance. You read what other people say, probably other low silver players, and you parrot them because you have no brain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The best and most balanced I have ever seen league was back during the cinderhulk meta. Right before the juggernaut rework and right after the first round of nerfs to the more abusive users. Every champion saw play, and there were several different playstyles that were viable. It was truly the most fun I had during the game.

TL; DR: Fire Ghostcrawler

There. I summarized your thread.

I joined January 2017 and I feel like the game was super fun a year and 7 months ago. I used to play old Warwick and had no idea he was getting a rework and I was a little mad because he was one of my favorites lol but I ended up liking it afterwards. I LOVED the old runes! I loved earning IP for how well I did in games. It made me feel rewarded when I played. Even losing was fun because I felt like I genuinely got outplayed. Now I queue up and hesitate. I want to have fun trying a new champion but i also get frustrated dealing with whatever problems came up by riots new changes. It’s a new problem every week. Riot just needs to admit the new rune system was a failure and they can’t possibly balance everything.

The reason pro play isn't fun to watch anymore is because the game isn't that fun. Before, it was interesting to see how pros would play a game you love to play. Now it's just watching a game where by the 10 minute mark it's clear who the winner is.

Making changes purely for pro play is ironic because when you ruin solo queue balance for it, interest in eSports drops as well.

I keep saying pro needs to have separate balance from the regular game, but no one will listen.

Greg, you helped make Age of Empires Two

sends korean villagers to your base, starts building towers

I really like the games state right now and i feel like its going decently, im unhappy with some balance changes but im biased because i like the heros, its absolutely not ok how people are calling for firing and the like.

I wasn't aware you're a former Riot employee that knows how things work at Riot HQ.

Meep Man7/11/2018, 6:59:48 AM2 votes

People really have to stop thinking a particular person is the reason for any bad changes in a game. if Ghostcrawler wasn't the head designer, some other person would be and they would be getting the blame instead.

Shukr4n7/10/2018, 3:43:37 PM2 votes

Shouldnt be "Change game if u look for different stuff?

I mean, his money his decision how to spend them. No?

Linna Excel7/11/2018, 2:42:46 AM1 votes

A silly question in defense of Ghostcrawler; what if all the things people are complaining about are things his bosses told him to do and would be done just the same even if he wasn't with riot? League was big on esports before he came in.

These threads are just bs. You have literally 0 proof or evidence anything is specifically his fault, let alone anything is even wrong or heading in the wrong direction.
