The dark side of the ARAM QoL changes.
At first I thought the changes made to champ select in ARAM were great, now you don't have those situations where somebody re-rolls that champ you wanted and you have more options to choose from before starting the game since re-rolls are also faster to reload. I thought this would lead to less games where one team just gets a comp that counters the other and its a stomp. What has actually happened is somewhat disappointing. Now that everybody can reroll or trade multiple times champ select has devolved into everybody trading until they get a back-line champ like some mage or long range adc. They all have the dream of being Lux in ARAM and never dying and just destroying people. What they don't know is that if you are all squishy mages and they have some strong bruisers or tanks they will just run over you. The other scenario (the one that is happening constantly to me because I'm apparently the only person who enjoys melee champs in ARAM) is that your team is all back-line and I'm the only front line trying to dive that one ap kog or vel koz that is destroying our team. Since I'm the only danger posed to them they always have flash and I can never get them. In the end, i feel like most ARAMs now are just 5 back line champs trying to poke each other forever and nobody ever going in. While many may find that fun, what I used to enjoy about ARAMs was the lack of try-hardness and being able to go in and start a fight whenever. I suggest there be a "pure" ARAM que with no rerolls or trades, or at least make re-rolls harder to recharge in the normal ARAM que. I cant be the only one tired of playing vs soraka, lux, ziggs, vel' koz etc. every single game. In the end the games are more try hard and less fast paced because of the changes and it has made ARAM less enjoyable.
