In light of new circumstances, Riot should reconsider their position on banned accounts.

Riot finally added a feature to just outright mute chat, seems like they are finally realizing that chat is just a headache for some players. I also heard that they are attempting to convince players that quit the game to come back via emails that promise rewards for returning to the game. This tells me that they are looking for ways to get people back into the game. Since Riot wants people to come back to the game and agree that chat is not invaluable for some people who play the game I think they should reconsider their position on banned accounts. I got permabanned almost a year ago and while I still think their attempts at policing chat are poorly handled, I also miss the game. I would come back to the game if my account was unbanned and I would not mind at all if chat "privileges" were completely stripped from my account as they were always a detriment to the game for me personally. As of right now though, the thought of buying or grinding out all the champs and skins I used to have disgusts me. I will not support Riot in any way or fashion while they keep my hard work and commitment to the game under lock and key. Just wanted to get this idea out there and remind Riot that there is an untapped player-base that they could easily reach out to while still keeping their current player base safe from their "toxicity".
